About this listen

Welcome to Black Diamond Resort and Spa…

Where the rich and famous go to disappear. Some to relax, some to get sober.

For me… It's my last shot, my final chance at redemption.

I'm hotheaded. Reckless. Self-Destructive.

I don't want to be here, but not doing so means losing everything I've worked my whole life for. It means losing my band. The only family and the only constant I've ever known.

They say I have a problem. That I need help.

I say it's just part of fame. The drugs help numb the pain. Keep the demons away.

I'm doing my best to keep my head down and bide my time until I can go home. Then he comes and makes himself at home at my breakfast table…

Rowan Davies. Son of Hollywood's most famous movie producer and my new pain in the ass.

He's nauseatingly cheerful. Buoyant. A presence refusing to be ignored. And he's set his sights on me.

He wants to fix me. Make me feel. He wants me to let him in. Love him.

But he's here against his will, too.

We're both broken. Wounded where no one else can see.

Is a bond derived from lies and vices really a bond at all, or only a setup for yet another epic failure?

Beautiful story

This story is very well written and is a great Love story. The Rocker and the privileged boy. They meet in rehab and its insta attraction. The narration made this an even better story. Nick and Iggy are outstanding. This is a beautiful story.

I loved everything and

I didn't want it to end. That's the only complaint. I loved their journey. Cas was a complete ass at times, but you love him through it. Row was a little much at times but easy to fall in love with too. Their chemistry was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

🥵🌶️

This audio really brings the story to life. Listing Cas and Rowan with their struggles. The ending is perfect.

The trauma bond

I loved the trauma bond that they had, the polar opposite of attachment issues and somehow finding true love. But as a gay man who is a bottom, I hate being called princess, it’s derogatory, but it worked.

Another amazing Lucky 13 story

I really enjoyed my second visit to Black Diamond Resort & Spa! Rowan is a social media influencer & Caspian is a drummer. Caspian & Rowan are both a mess. Rowan is sent to Black Diamond by his famous parents who are tired of him partying. Caspian goes to avoid the trouble he will face for a fan od'ing in his presence. I loved just how different they both were. Rowan was a total ray of sunshine and Caspian was ever so grumpy! Many ups and downs for these two. But together they were able to balance each other out. This story was nice & steamy. Loved both of them. Nick J Russo & Iggy Toma did a great job narrating.

I hated Caspian

I was waiting to like Caspian or find any redeeming quality about him. It didn't come until the last maybe 20 minutes of the book, and even then he didn't become overly likeable to me. Without giving spoilers to much I'll say that when Caspian left BDR and the reason for it was the last straw for me. I suppose with the issues Ronan had with his childhood he would have continued to fight to be with Caspian but I just couldn't find it in my heart to want them to be together. I thought Caspian was a complete and utter jerk from start to finish.
I thought Iggy did a fantastic job, as always, he's one of my favorites and I love his southern drawl. And while I'm normally ok with NJRs narration, in this instance, I was disappointed. He began the book with the "slight" Irish accent but it quickly disappeared and never returned. Even Iggy did a better job speaking for Caspian in the Irish accent then NJR. It was really bothersome to me and I think if I was the author I'd want that whole part redone.
Overall I didn't think this was the best story by this author. I get that all grumpy or angry characters aren't going to calm down completely but most at least find a bit of kindness at least toward the other MC. I didn't find that to be the case here. I didn't hate this story, but I def won't listen to it again.
