Ashley Perrin is fresh out of college and starting a job as a community liaison for the Third District–the city’s only sector with more alien residents than humans. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself. And if that’s not terrifying enough, Ashley is next up at the office karaoke night.

Crazy Twists and Turns
Definitely some unexpected plot twists here. This was a pretty solid way to finish out the first episode. I'm glad I bought them in pieces with how much cheaper it was. the split up parts did not ruin my experience. If anything it seemed like a longer story.

I'd say, "A Must Read," but that's to cliche.
I have to admit, I've never read a serial book, but I'm glad I have! It's an unconventional story where the sci-fi aspect is closer to the present then the future, and could easily be labeled a mystery or thriller. The characters aren't just something to fill the story, but are the story! Clearly three dimensional, and easy to care about! The story isn't the zombie or "rapture" crap we've been assailed with, and enough twists and turns to make you dizzy! Well, I'm on to season 2, and so more beer battered...you know!

Goes from strength to strength
I have to say that this story has just gone from strength to strength. The characters continue to evolve and become more nuanced and interesting as they take on the challenges that are being placed before than. Those who are lost leave an impression that lingers even once they have left the stage. This was a particularly thrilling sequence because it seems that a lot of things are coming to a head. The survivors are finding out things that they had no idea about before while at the same time being in the dark about so much of what is happening around them.
I have been enjoying this series since I started it and listening has just made it that much more enjoyable. The cast is excellent and really gives me good thought images to work with. I can picture them based on their voices and characterizations which says so much about them and the material.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this series.

What the hell!
I was loving the books and then I got to the second half of the first season and you don't pick up where the first half leaves off? What about the cliff hangers? You can't get is so involved and drop us like that! I really feel betrayed! I will not continue listening to a book series that abandons its own story line! I wanted to love this book series but I can not recommend it because of what it did!

Absolutely awful!
What disappointed you about Yesterday's Gone: Season 1 - Episode 6?
This was absolutely horrid! The other episodes were good enough that I could ignore the increasingly bad voices, they kept you on the edge of your seat and spread the bad out so it didn't overwhelm the story.
Now I normally scoff at reviews that hate books because bad things happen in them, but there is such a thing as too much. If you save up every bad thing for a single piece of the story, only the bad is going to matter, nothing else. And in an episode where a dog is torn to shreds and a serial killer and rapist are shown in all their depraved glory time upon time, I have been completely turned away from this series.
