About this listen

A USA Today best seller

“A surprising and incredibly satisfying story of chance and fate.” (New York Times best-selling author Taylor Jenkins Reid)

“I read it in one long gulp and didn’t want it to end.” (New York Times best-selling author Jill Santopolo)

Acclaimed author Colleen Oakley delivers a heart-wrenching and unforgettable love story about a woman who must choose between the man she loves and the man fate has chosen for her, in a novel that reminds us that the best life is one led by the heart.

Mia Graydon's life looks picket-fence perfect; she has the house, her loving husband, and dreams of starting a family. But she has other dreams too - unexplained, recurring ones starring the same man. Still, she doesn’t think much of it, until a relocation to small-town Pennsylvania brings her face-to-face with the stranger she has been dreaming about for years. And this man harbors a jaw-dropping secret of his own - he's been dreaming of her too.

Determined to understand, Mia and this not-so-stranger search for answers. But when diving into their pasts begins to unravel her life in the present, Mia emerges with a single question - what if?

Thought provoking, proving not every love story has the ending you come to expect. I really enjoyed this different kind of story

Romantic and Hopeful

This was the happily ever after I didn’t see coming. Such a thought provoking story so well told by a narrator that seemed to truly embody the main character.

Slow to start but then, wham! I was taken in by the characters and story. I didn’t love the ending but thought it was very fitting for the story!

Dreams

This was a good listen, but it should have a warning that this book involves death. Not just the miscarriages. The last hour of the book is so very sad. It wasn’t the light read I thought it would be.

Should come with a warning

The audiobook was entertaining and kept me busy but, it was a bit cheesy and drawn out in sections. The incessant “what does my dream MEAN” got irritating. The ending was not what I expected, but satisfactory.

Entertaining but …

The story was a bit strange. About what dreams mean. Not very believable I think. Not as suspenseful as I like. A bit predictable.

Ok. Not my favorite.

This is such a good story etc, but the IVF info is flawed. IVF is for women who cant conceive, not for women who miscarry. Some research on that would have made this a better book.

Great Read Overall

If you love emotional damage, this one is for you. It had me bawling my eyes out. I love dreams and psychic shit, so this was right up my alley. Get your tissues ready. The ending isn’t what you usually expect, no HEA romance. So be prepared for that. Will there ever be another book for us to get the HEA?

Narrators were great

This book was only ok. It was a bit slow through most of it. It was a realistic portrayal of marriage and how people change and have to choose each other again every day. No HEA

Not bad
