About this listen
In that darkness, I took to writing poetry and little positive notes to find light and hope. I had to convince my mind that it gets better. Nothing remains forever, not even the bad days and the sad moments. In this book, I try to make sense of my emotions and navigate the darkness through words.
If you find yourself today in the same dark spot, may these poems and little notes give you a reason each day to live, not leave. May you find hope in the knowledge that your presence is valuable, and that you are loved. Find hope and keep it alive because where hope lives, nothing ever dies.

Story
Heartbreaks and failed relationships are not new to anyone. Sometimes, we move on to greener pastures and leave the pain in the past, but other times the scars remind us every day of the things we just can't get over yet. This book is my message to the past, the accumulation of all the words I wish I said when I had the chance.

Story
For much of his 30s, Jesse Bering thought he was probably going to kill himself. He was a successful psychologist and writer, but the impulse to take his own life remained. At times it felt all but inescapable. Bering survived. And in addition to relief, the fading of his suicidal thoughts brought curiosity and questions. In Suicidal, Bering takes us through the science and psychology of suicide, revealing its cognitive secrets and the subtle tricks our minds play on us when we're easy emotional prey.

Story
For all of Emory's life she's been told who she is. In town she's the rich one—the great-great-granddaughter of the mill's founder. At school she's hot Maddie Ward's younger sister. And at home, she's the good one, her stoner older brother Joey's babysitter. Everything was turned on its head, though, when she and Joey were in the car accident that killed Candy MontClaire. The car accident that revealed just how bad Joey's drug habit was.
