Gotrek and Felix, whose full names are Gotrek Gurnisson, a Dwarf Slayer, and Felix Jaeger, his Human chronicler native to the Empire, are a duo of warriors travelling throughout the length and breadth of the Old World and beyond, battling dark forces and stopping evil plots in Gotrek's quest for a heroic death against a suitably terrible foe.

The adventures of these warriors have been written down in the series of books known as My Travels with Gotrek by Felix Jaeger, which outlines Felix's many adventures with his maniacal comrade throughout their endeavours, recording everything till the day Gotrek finally meets his doom and will be allowed to enter the halls of his ancestors.

As the war rages against the minions of Hell, strange visions torment the faithful across the globe. Men and women touched by Heaven are granted visions and Revelations are made by the messengers of God. Sisters of the Holy Orders are marked by Stigmata and take up the sword and the cross as instructed by angels. Those who have transgressed seek to atone for their sins by taking as many followers of the Devil with them to the afterlife.

So they come, the mad and the maimed, the God- touched and the guilt-ridden – all gathering around Prophets and Prophetesses, forming Trench Pilgrim Processions. These disorganised groups arm themselves and follow the prophets of the Lord unto the front lines. They fight with unrivalled zeal, hurling themselves against the Heretics, arming themselves with anything they can get their hands on from the oldest muskets to scourges and Molotov Cocktails.

Power Armour is a completely enclosed suit of armour, made of thick ceramite plates. The armour would be heavy and cumbersome to wear but for the electrically motivated fibre bundles within the armour, as well as the methods of direct interface such as the Black Carapace, that replicate the wearer's movement and enhance his/her strength.

The Sisters of Battle use a version of power armour designed for the human shape and size, known as Sororitas Power Armour. Sisters of Battle do not have the same Black Carapace as Space Marines do, as such some patterns of their power armour are not built with direct interface in mind, thus lacking the same benefits to strength and support systems integration.

Power armour is also favoured for use by agents of the Inquisition. These suits of armour enhance the user's strength, allow for operation in hostile environments, and include auxiliary systems such as vox-links and auto-senses.

With their vast wealth and resources, Rogue Traders are able to aqcuire power armour, whether by legal trade or illicit means on the black market, including the various armour patterns available to the Inquisition if they have the means to afford it.

The Spyrer Hunters of Necromunda are known to use extremely advanced powered armors known as Hunting Rigs.

if you have a smallest interest about the Warhammer 40k universe this is one of the best podcast for you!

the hosts have really good synergy and match energy really well! The show gets better by the episodes and also include spin-offs that include true crime.

the show is mainly for newcomers to 40k in mind and they give a really good explanation because one of the hosts "DK" is also a newcomer and is a good conduit for asking questions that a more seasoned person in that world not ask.

my main criticism about the podcast is that they are going over big subjects with a broad brush so if you are already deep into the 40k lore it can be a bit of a bore compared to the more singular event focused videos / podcasts.

With that out of the way, i wholeheartedly recommend this podcast if you even have the slightest interest in the wacky world of Warhammer 40k!

a really fun podcast about the wacky world of 40k

I love listening to these lunatics. While Shy's contributions are lacking in this format, I'm happy to be able to listen in the background, especially without needing a YouTube membership. Without this podcast, I doubt I would have gotten into Warhammer. I especially love the book club episodes.

So much fun!

I mean, as perfect as Fulgrim wanted to be, he didn't listen to the Emperor for shit. The whole thing would have been avoided if he had just listened to Big E and started hacking away at the xenos and burned everything they got in fear of chaos lingering in the unknown. The harsh guidelines were in place to keep chaos at bay without telling humanity of the greater powers that dwell in the warp. Basically, he didn't want his monkeys tempted by the fact that there was another option/route to obtaining power.

Was a fun recap

Loved these guys from years back. Almost wild to realized that I've lived in two different countries, moved four times, got two degrees and through all of that listened this podcast. Love it.
