  • Samantha Sherman: From the Crazy NYC Hospitality Industry to Opening a Popular Hampton’s Granola Business
    Sep 26 2024

Katie hosts her dear friend, Sam Sherman, of The Hampton Grocer, to gush about all things Hamptons and New York City dining. Sam tells her story of working in the restaurant industry in Manhattan for almost a decade prior to opening her booming Hampton’s granola company. Previously, she worked front of house for both Mario Batali and Tom Colicchio (sometimes serving over 300 guests in one evening!), as well as for famous event planner, Marcy Blum.

Once the pandemic hit, Sam was out of a job and needed to pivot. She started grocery shopping for families in the Hamptons and selling her mother-in-law’s granola recipe at farm stands. Much to her surprise, the granola immediately took off and she’s never looked back. Currently, Hampton Grocer is in over 250 retailers selling their classic flavors, as well as seasonal flavors including their Fall Tahini, Apple, and Cinnamon Granola in collaboration with Seed + Mill.

Sam spills all the tea on who her most difficult NYC restaurant guest was, as well as what it was like to shop for luxury clients in the Hampton’s (let’s just say…not easy!). Tune in to hear some stories that will make you laugh out loud and for an exclusive discount code for Hampton Grocer Granola!

KATIE LEE BIEGEL HAS A PODCAST!!!!

Katie Lee Biegel is one of the most down to earth people. She shines in her welcoming element of what is her podcast. She touches on various topics, of course extremely relatable and inspirational also. She is a very good role model especially in this day and age. I learn a lot about nutritious and satisfying meals from her, and it's really cool when she has guests. She is the furthest thing from pretentious and just a very kind and magnetic individual. I am so so happy she has a podcast!!!! WAY TO GO KATIE!!!
