There seems to be so much advice that tells us to "talk it out," but what we seem to overlook is that talking it out comes with very real risks. There's a reason so many of us try so hard to avoid conflict and keep the peace- and it's not because of a lack of communication skills or self-confidence. While communication is great and necessary for healthy relationships, not all the relationships in your life are healthy ones - and that's not always within your control. Not everyone is willing or able to do repair and connection with you. The truth is there are times when talking it out just doesn't work.

Not all connections are meant to be mended, and setting realistic boundaries can be key. This episode is packed with strategies to maintain your peace of mind and engage in more effective conversations, all while ensuring your response is one you won't regret, or that won't waste your precious energy.

Before you try to talk it out and seek repair with a difficult person, you need to ask yourself the questions I'm sharing with you here. Lastly, I'll encourage you to reclaim your power through self-accountability, focusing on personal growth rather than trying to change the immovable. Tune in to gain insights that will empower you to handle life's relationship hurdles with confidence and clarity.

Ever find yourself holding back with your friends? Like maybe you shy away of sharing your accomplishments, or you downplay your gifts, hide your true ambitions, or basically just feel like you have to dial parts of yourself down when you're with them?

Listen into the episode as I share how confidence and competition sometimes impact our connections with other women and why we all need a safe place where we can be ALL of ourselves- the sparkly, powerful good stuff AND the messy, questioning, imperfect part of us too.

You'll also get to hear about my biggest takeaway from the in person Bold as Love Collective Retreat that I recently hosted and what it means to really hold space for, support and uplift other women.
