  • 036 - You’re Allowed to Change Everything (Even When Nothing’s Wrong)
    Jun 13 2025

In this episode, Stephanie and I take you with us on our Friday morning walk as we talk about what’s changing, what’s closing, and what’s quietly coming alive in this next season.

We recorded this episode in the middle of the shift, before the clarity was complete. And that’s what makes it sacred. Because we didn’t wait to figure it all out before sharing. We simply brought the mic into the field of transition.

    Who This Episode Is For

This episode serves most powerfully those who are:

    • Standing at a threshold they can’t name yet
    • Feeling a desire to slow down without falling behind
    • Holding an old structure that no longer feels like home
    • Wondering if they’re “allowed” to change everything when nothing’s wrong

If that’s you, this episode isn’t just a conversation. It’s a permission slip.

    What This Episode Offers

This is a real-time embodiment of what it looks like to:

    • Make a soul-aligned decision (like closing the mastermind) without drama, scarcity, or needing external validation
    • Feel the resistance around pricing, calendar shifts, identity expansion… and still move forward
    • Name health updates and hormone shifts not as tangents, but as foundational to aligned leadership
    • Hold space for a co-creation with your partner that is not scripted, not performative, and not optimized for downloads—but optimized for truth

The message beneath the words is simple, but powerful:

    • You’re allowed to stop doing what you’ve outgrown, even if it once worked.
    • You’re allowed to price your services at the level of your frequency.
    • You’re allowed to share your process, mid-stream.

If you're in a season of subtle but significant reorientation, I hope this episode meets you exactly where you are.

  • 035 - Hormones, Coaching, Family & Soul Songs
    Jun 9 2025

In this episode, Stephanie and I head out for another walk and share a little of everything that’s been unfolding lately in both life and business.

Stephanie gives an update on her hormone replacement journey in preparation for her follow-up appointment, sharing how empowered she feels to finally have providers who listen to the full story of her health rather than dismiss her experiences.

We also talk about a movie we are planning to watch together, Mary Magdalene, and reflect on how far our spiritual lenses have shifted from where we started. These are the kinds of conversations we wouldn’t have dared to entertain years ago, but now approach with full openness and curiosity.

As always, some of our everyday life comes into the mix as well: McKenna’s LSAT, my sister’s recent visit that stirred up old family memories, and even the arrival of a new washer and dryer that’s simplified our daily flow.

There’s a light moment where we share about replacing a missing Twilight book for Stephanie and our thoughts on a new walking location we recently explored together.

On the business side, I share updates from recent coaching conversations, how new clients are entering my world, and how I continue to trust the natural timing of client creation rather than forcing outcomes.

Like so many of our episodes, this one reflects what Building A Life And Business Together really looks like for us… holding space for the ordinary, staying open to the unfolding, and sharing what’s alive as we walk.

  • 034 - Creative Work in the Middle of Everyday Life
    Jun 2 2025

In this episode, Stephanie and I take another unscripted walk. What may sound like simple conversation carries layers of deeper resonance for those attuned to the field we’re creating together:

    • Modeling Presence in Partnership

Stephanie and I demonstrate what it looks like to live, create, and walk together in real time, even when life feels ordinary or rhythmically disrupted. This is what many most desire: permission to integrate marriage, business, and daily life as one field.

    • Creative Transparency

I opened the door to my evolving creative expansion: onboarding clients, releasing new music, and experimenting with emerging technologies like Suno. You receive an inside look at what it means to keep creating without waiting for perfect conditions.

    • Shared Identity Exploration

Our differences in musical tastes, preferences, and passions model healthy individuality within marriage. We hold space for one another's uniqueness while remaining deeply connected. This is spiritual partnership in motion.

    • Normalizing Disrupted Rhythms

Stephanie’s "off day," sleep disruptions, and the small moments of recalibration mirror real life. This brings enormous permission to those who often feel guilt for not being perfectly productive.

    • Witnessing Unfolding Expansion

My Soul Songs project and music publishing efforts point to how creative callings emerge unexpectedly, even after years in one industry. This signals that you, too, are always free to step into new forms of expression.

  • 033 - Making Space for What’s Next
    May 23 2025

In this episode, Stephanie and I invite you to walk with us, literally and energetically, as we reflect on what’s been unfolding in our lives, both personally and professionally.

We begin in full presence: no script, no polish. Just two people in motion, sharing space, laughter, and the occasional squirrel sighting.

Stephanie shares about the recent yard sale she hosted. What may sound like a casual event, but was actually a deeper process of clearing energetic space. As she puts it, “I’m making room for what’s next.” She also talks about the launch of her new podcast, Behind the Life We Built, and how it’s less about production and more about creating a space where entrepreneurial wives can feel seen and supported.

I reflect on my solo trip to Hamvention, reconnecting with people from my amateur radio journey… including one past podcast guest and coaching client who, unexpectedly, pulled me aside and said, “I’m ready now.” It was a full-circle moment, a reminder that the seeds we plant often grow quietly… until one day, they call us back in.

We talk about Stephanie’s deeply affirming visit to a new integrative wellness clinic where, for the first time, her full story was honored. No gaslighting. No reductionism. Just someone finally asking the right questions. It was healing on every level: physical, emotional, and spiritual.

We also go off on some fun tangents about the history of the word “hysterectomy,” the ethics of AI in creative work, the future of disclosure in content creation, and the quiet joy of letting go of an old podcast project to make space for something new.

This episode carries the frequency of release without resistance, and of presence without performance.

It’s unscripted, imperfect, and deeply alive.

Which feels exactly right for where we are.

  • 032 - Creative Work Isn’t Always About What We Do
    May 16 2025

In this episode of Building A Life and Business Together, Stephanie and I go for a walk and talk through what’s been unfolding behind the scenes personally, spiritually, and creatively.

We begin by reflecting on the return of Encouraging Others Through Christ and the two episodes we recorded together this week. Stephanie shares why, even though she showed up for those powerful conversations, EOTC isn’t her regular space and never has been. Her spiritual journey is lived, not preached. And her presence, not her performance, is the transmission.

We also unpack the difference between our podcasts, why BLBT is a co-created rhythm of our daily life, while EOTC is a more personal chronicle of my spiritual expansion and the journey I’ve been walking since 2020.

From there, we take a turn into a deeper conversation about what “creative work” really means. Stephanie opens up about the energetic weight of clutter in our home, the emotional toll of trying to stay productive when her environment feels chaotic, and her desire to move into new expressions while still tied to old responsibilities.

We reframe what creativity looks like when it’s not content.

    When it’s not monetized.

    When it’s just… alignment.

We talk about living room redesigns, forgotten guest rooms, parenting philosophies, and the difference between being a father and being a dad. We even touch on why I turned down an invitation to be interviewed on a parenting podcast and what that says about how I want to show up in the world now.

This episode isn’t polished. It’s real.

It’s another step in our walk as whole, evolving beings. Living, loving, and aligning together in real time.

And we’re grateful to share it with you.

  • 031 - The Shift Beneath the Wins
    May 11 2025

In this episode, Stephanie and I take you behind the scenes of what’s been unfolding in both of our lives personally, spiritually, and creatively.

Stephanie shares a beautiful breakthrough about her long-awaited book. What began as a podcast title she loved, Unscripted Becoming, revealed itself to be something else entirely. It wasn’t a podcast title. It was the name of her book. And not just a book... a quiet, soul-level transmission of her journey to freedom.

As she found clarity around the book’s title and the podcast’s purpose, I reflected on my own recent alignment. From publicly sharing episode 765 (This Is Not a Business, This Is Devotion) to rewriting every word of my website, this season is about integrating everything I once kept behind the curtain.

We talk about the power of stillness, the meaning of silence, the return of our daughter McKenna, and even plans for a future move. But underneath it all is this shared truth: we are no longer building a life and business from the mind. We’re building it from the heart. Together.

    This episode captures the shift.

    The becoming.

The walk between what was and what’s next.

  • 030 - Rhythm of the Soul
    May 5 2025

This episode is a walking meditation on presence, alignment, and the soul-level rhythm of partnership.

Cliff and Stephanie step into a conversation that flows with ease: unscripted, unhurried, and alive with metaphor. As they reflect on their new walking ritual, what emerges is a deep remembering: connection doesn’t require structure. It requires rhythm.

They explore how beginning each day side by side, in motion and in nature, has subtly rewired how they do life and business: less performance, more presence.

Cliff names the shift from chasing “the rhythm of a goal” to living “the rhythm of the soul,” and Stephanie beautifully grounds the truth that this isn’t new for her. It’s the frequency she’s always lived in.

Together, they explore intimacy, day-to-day awareness, deep dreams, and the metaphysical clarity that comes when they walk with life, not against it.

This is not just a format change. It is a frequency shift.
