  • Ep 117: Information Overload!
    Apr 1 2025
With easy access to so much information today, sky's the limit to almost anything we want to know. Concurrently, the access is often overwhelming and can be more harmful than helpful. Opinions are misunderstood as facts. Information is taken out of context. Discernment becomes shaky. Are we using information responsibly? How are we showing up when we are wrong about a topic? Our ability to think independently, practice due diligence, and stay open to other perspectives is more critical than ever. Easy access to information devalues the need to hold it in your head Now we need to know a little about a lot of things for relatability Curiosity leads to expansion of knowledge naturally Willingness to change your opinions We need to constantly be thinking for ourselves We need to be clear on how we want to use information It’s not the information itself, but what we’re making it mean ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 116: Social Media
    Mar 25 2025
We all have ideas about the dangers and benefits of social media. But how intentional are we being with those tools? Are we using social media or is it using us? How authentically are we showing up on those platforms? Are we using it as an automatic mental numbing tool? Regardless of how we use social media, ownership and awareness of it is key. Social media amplifies who you already are Piecing together snippets of information to understand context Distinction between using social media as a tool and it using you Self-judgment with posting content It comes down to being clear on the intention at the moment Being aware of your automatic natural comparison to others Balancing promoting business and personal boundaries on social media Clarity and commitment to engaging and adding value ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 115: A Lie Is A Lie
    Mar 18 2025
The truth is, we often don’t tell the truth. We overtly lie, sugarcoat, or omit information more often than we know. We are masters of hiding and manipulating our truth and we’ve been practicing it since we were kids. We are walking hypocrites wanting more transparency everywhere. Perhaps we’re afraid of what the truth will reveal about ourselves and others. In this episode, we explore the behavior of lying as an opportunity to recalibrate the importance of honesty in our lives. Telling lies seems to be an early trait White lies, big lies, omitting the truth -3:30 Jeff How important is the value of honesty? - 5:45 Tatsu Full honesty vs. blunt truth - 7:48 Jeff Pure honesty is refreshing - 11:16 Tatsu Owning the delivery of your truth - 13:25 Jeff What’s the root of lying? - 15:25 Tatsu/Jeff The parent conundrum of lying - 17:26 Jeff Is our lying in integrity with how we want to live - 19:03 Jeff Our inability to strongly enforce transparency - 19:57 Tatsu Where are we overly sugarcoating? - 20:47 Jeff Links mentioned: ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi
