The artistry of crafting handmade cigars has been around for about 600 years. And every year something new threatens to come along and end it all for the artisan cigar makers throughout Latin America. But the committed cigar loving community in America and across the world is always fighting the good fight to support the cause and protect their freedoms. During this episode, we'll discuss some of the exciting new threats that the industry faces and BIG changes that are coming down the pipes for the whole industry. We learned a lot at the TPE Tradeshow this last week. I will also give you the inside scoop on what I learned there.

Mild and Complex are not two words that are often used together in the world of cigars. It seems like milder cigars have a reputation for being… a little ordinary.
But in recent years there has been a big push to craft some truly complex Shade blends, and those are the one’s we’re learning about tonight. From boutique blends to monster Masterblenders, we’re looking at some of the off-the-beaten-path Shade blends that offer more than just a puff of plane.

In the cigar world, there is no such thing as a platinum album, but we do have the annual release of the Top 25 Lists. These are lists compiled by cigar publications, vloggers, bloggers, and whole cigar communities. Almost every year, I make a video blasting these lists and the cigars they choose. This year, we’re going to take a look to see how they did. Did they hit the nail on the head, or come up with another swing and a miss?

There are cigars with aged leaf, and then there are aged cigars. They’re two VERY different things. You hear about them out there in the wild. There are lots of cigars with blends that tout aged leaf. Sometimes the leaf is aged 5, 10, even 15 years. And those are considered desirable among aficionados. Then there are the aged cigars. These are the ones with yellow cello. During this episode we’ll discover what sets them apart from all the rest. This time of year, Santa is gearing up to deliver gifts to those well behaved men and women of the world.
So I have no idea why he would come by the Cigars Daily HQ to visit the likes of Billy, Terrence, Ryan, and me. But here we are, confused as we are grateful. On this show, we joke that American January is Nicaraguan April. It's a tradition in the cigar world for projects to experience delays. There are few few projects that reach the cigar community at the proposed date and time. But these two blends from Southern Draw Cigars absolutely take the cake! The Southern Draw Morning Glory and Evening Primrose were announced by the brand in 2022! Now, OVER 2 YEARS LATER, these two cigars have actually passed the final stages of production. During this episode, we'll take a look at what makes these 2 blends so unique, and talk a little about why they might have taken such a long time to come into existence... plus get a peek at what's behind the blend and flavor profile.
