Dan Carlin's Hardcore History

By: Dan Carlin
  • Summary

  • In "Hardcore History" journalist and broadcaster Dan Carlin takes his "Martian", unorthodox way of thinking and applies it to the past. Was Alexander the Great as bad a person as Adolf Hitler? What would Apaches with modern weapons be like? Will our modern civilization ever fall like civilizations from past eras? This isn't academic history (and Carlin isn't a historian) but the podcast's unique blend of high drama, masterful narration and Twilight Zone-style twists has entertained millions of listeners.

Best history podcast there is

Hardcore History is the most accessible and insightful history podcast I have found, bringing history to life and connecting the past to the present. If you like history, psychology, sociology or any combination of the three you should give this a listen.

Incredibly Engaging

Blueprint for Armageddon is so amazing. Everyone talks about the second world War but I found the first world War to be the most intense and harrowing story of man's pure grit I have ever heard. 10 out of 10 Everyone of these incredibly well researched stories are worth at least 2 listens each! Thank you Hardcore History!!!
