150! What a milestone! Who would have thunk it. Not me that's for sure. Either way here we are.

As usual, I'm giving myself to the mountains for a couple months.

Before I go, I need to thank all the amazing bands and artists that have graced the hallowed halls of South Hood Studio this season. It was a jam packed year and probably the most fun I've had doing the podcast. You are my peers and my fellow artists and I'm proud to be part of Ottawa music community with you.

From my whole heart, thank you to the listeners of E&V. I honestly could not do it without you.

Over the last 8 yrs, I've watched this podcast grow from a little niche experiment to the success and local showcase it is today. I've promised time and again Ego & Vice will never change and will always be a local podcast about local music, for local music. Thank you for the reviews and all the friendly emails that you always send my way. I read all and appreciate them. Even the mean ones.

I cannot express how greatful I am for all the love and support throughout the years.

Alley Beers is a punk band based in Ottawa, Canada. Sugar Bomb! is not a punk band from Ottawa, Ontario, known for their energetic performances and unique sound. Wade Barras is a Canadian folk-rock artist performing under the name Parliament of Owls. Originally from Pembroke, Ontario, he has lived and worked across Canada, eventually establishing roots in Cornwall, Ontario. Wade is known for his groove-heavy acoustic guitar style and "gravel-coated" lyrics that reflect his life experiences, which include love, loss, and personal growth.

In 2023, he debuted his first single, Shallow Holes, part of his album Volume 1, which he plans to release on vinyl. Wade is committed to sharing his music broadly, performing at unique venues to create memorable experiences. His artistic journey emphasizes living authentically and sharing stories through music.

Steve & The Stab Wounds are 3 piece band from Ottawa. Established in 2022, the band consists of Dr. Tux Stevens Stabwound on guitar and vocals. John Preacher on bass and drummer Professor Rhonda Stabwound. STSW have played numerous live shows at most of Ottawa's best venues. Never taking themselves too seriously and enjoying the ride that come with writing and performing music. Don't overthink it, just play what feels good. Great advice. Keep an eye out in 2025 for Steve & The Stabwounds.

Logan Brown is an Ottawa musician and comedian originally from Kingston ON. A full-time performer since age 14, Logan has made good use of his jazz background by being able to take requests and learn music on the spot. Logan is a stand-up comedian with regular work at Yuk Yuks and various other comedy clubs across the province, Logan brings his musical talent to the world of comedy penning joke songs and funny takes on popular music. Not your average "background noise" cover artist, Logan is sure to entertain with virtuosic guitar playing and vocals, astounding setlist selection, and side-splitting musical comedy!
