So sad

I can’t help but think she might have been telling the truth, and if she was then whoever was doing that to her got away with it. If she was lying then she went through some very elaborate scenes to frame someone.

Comprehensive

It was great and is still riveting to this day. Hope the family can find peace in that they did the best in the situation they were in.

Gripping & Dumbfounding!

Anyone who enjoys intense, psychologically-based true crime stories that have you guessing literally up to the end, you must listen to this podcast! It is very well put together and narrated. It’s like a book you just can’t put down. Listen! You won’t be disappointed!

Loved every part of it

Pamela Adlon is a fantastic narrator. My view wafted back and forth as information came to light. I couldn’t form a concrete answer for myself. Would love more of these types of stories. (Documented inquiries that is)

Some technical difficulties in the last chapter.

Unbelievable

I do not write reviews; however these episodes were so well written and read. I was enthralled in the story and would listen every chance I got. I kept thinking I hope the last episode gives me all the answers. The beautiful thing about the last episode is it provides space for many circumstances and it shows enough care to a woman who is deceased. She will not be forgotten. Thank you Audible!

Definitive account of a fascinating case

Pamela Adlon is such a great narrator. I’ve been a fan of hers since she first came to my attention on Louis CK’s brilliant FX series. And I’ve been fascinated by the creepy case of Cindy James ever since it was profiled on Unsolved Mysteries decades ago; I saw that episode when it premiered, and never forgot it. This podcast series fills in all the gaps, and it’s a testament both to its completeness and the bizarreness of the case itself that I’m still not sure what happened, but I feel satisfied regardless. The writing of each episode, the editing, the sound design, and Adlon’s narration are all first rate. I didn’t want it to end.

Lengthy

This was an interesting story with some wild twists. It could have been covered in half the amount of episodes though

Well done!

Yet another story illustrating how we sometimes forget that a person with a mental health issue is more than just a label. God bless you, Cindy. May you find peace.
