BUDHI KAKI ,this story revolves around an elderly woman disabled with age. Her only family was her nephew, to whom she transferred the rights of all her property. But they neglected her and her needs, keeping her secluded in a room. She barely got scraps for food. Things got so worse that after a tragic day, she did something really unthinkable. But it caused a change of heart of her family members.

'Miss Padma' a short story written by Munshi Premchand, depicts the turmoil surrounding a live in relationship. Munshi Premchand was born over a century ago but his writings remains contemporary. It's relevant in todays's time and age and deals with social paradigms we encounter. In a cruel twist of fate Padma discovers her partners betrayal leaving her feeling not only cheated on, but betrayed to the core . Needless to say ,it was ahead of its time.
