• Episode 42: Humility in Leadership
    Nov 20 2024

    Hey, Friend!

We would probably all agree that strength is important in a leader, especially mental and emotional strength, but that’s not where great leadership begins. That kind of strength is cultivated over time with experience.

Great leaders take the time for self-reflection, evaluating what is working and not working and what they need to do differently. Great leaders turn their mistakes, their failures into learning opportunities.

But in order to ask yourself those questions, you must leave pride at the door and enter into those conversations with humility and a desire to learn.

That is where great leadership begins. With humility.

In today’s episode, I am going to share with you some traits of a humble leader. See if you can find yourself in this description.

    I pray this blesses you!

  • Episode 38: What Happens When We Share Our Stories
    Oct 23 2024

    Hey, Friend!

I used to be a private person but my little girl taught me in one authentic move that it is more important to show people who you really are on the inside.

But it would be years later before that lesson sunk in. It took a public tragedy in my life, when I could no longer hide my reality, for me to realize that when we authentically and vulnerably share our stories, it connects us.

And those connections are real because we are being real.

    I pray this blesses you!

  • Episode 36: Debating without Demeaning
    Oct 9 2024

    Hey, Friend!

I think it is important to make informed decisions so I have been watching and reading everything that comes my way about this presidential election. But I have to admit, I am tired of the meanness.

As I have reflected on elections past, I am reminded that it wasn’t always this way. In today’s episode, I share a story about the leadership example of a particular presidential candidate. Even though he lost, I learned so much from his commitment to debating without demeaning.

Even after his death, he taught me something that I am going to apply moving forward.

I hope you give it a listen!
