• Golden Knights bounce back with win in Ottawa

    VGK bounced back from Wednesday's loss in Toronto by beating the Ottawa Senators for a second time this season, 3-2, on the road. The Golden Knights had Jack Eichel, Brett Howden and Pavel Dorofeyev score goals. And, Ilya Samsonov stopped 38 of 40 shots to win his "grudge match" against Linus Ullmark. Howden has equaled last season's goal total with eight. Dorofeyev has scored 10 goals to take the team lead. We preview Saturday's VGK-Montreal matchup. And, it's WTF with fan comments.

    The Golden Knights were shutout for the first time this season as they fell to the Maple Leafs in Toronto 3-0. Joseph Woll stopped 31 VGK shots in the game. It was a night of big hits to start the road trip. The Golden Knights have dropped four of their last six games and were 0-3 on the man advantage. We could see fireworks tonight, on the tail end of the back-to-back. It's a grudge match between VGK's Ilya Samsonov and the Sens Linus Ullmark.   • VGK prepares for road trip by making several moves

    The Golden Knights made several moves Tuesday in advance of their trip to Canada. Ben Hutton was placed on LTIR. Jonas Rondbjorg, Cal Burke and Mason Morelli were called up from Henderson. Mark Stone was placed on retroactive I-R and could play this week. VGK plays its first of five road games tonight in Toronto. The Maple Leafs are off to a great start, but will be playing without Austin Matthews, who is injured and in Germany visiting a specialist. The Leafs still have Mitch Marner, their leading scorer, and several other scoring options in the lineup. We have our Locks of the Knight.
