Today on Mission Made I am flying solo! I talk about how your sacrifice is never wasted when we are sacrificing for the Lord. I was reminded of this recently on the tail end of not being as committed to my quiet time with the Lord as I should. I got right before the Lord and sacrificed something I wanted to do, to prioritize time with him.

He met me there, and my cup was filled. My sacrifice was NOT wasted, and I know yours' won't be either.

On this episode I got to catch up with Scott Batson, founder of Get Strong Ministries.

Get Strong Ministries uses the CrossFit gym setting to disciple men and reach the nations for the Kingdom. They do so equipping men to lead groups that are rooted in fitness, and sending short term missionaries to CrossFit Get Strong in Nicaragua.

We got to talk about some of the origins of Get Strong, Scott's backstory, being able to connect with people through fitness for the sake of the Gospel, and a specific message for the men of MM.

Our friendship is fairly young, but it runs deep as most of our interaction has been in prayer. River was a day 1 guy for the mens prayer group I am a part of. On this episode of Mission Made I got the opportunity to talk with someone who has taken CrossFit by storm over the last few years. He made his first Games appearance in 2024, after being on the cusp of making it for several years.

Besides calling his shots in high level competitions, he has done a lot of cool things adding to his resume. After being declined into West Point, he landed at Ohio State University as a wrestler. He later became an attorney and started practicing for the Army, where he currently serves.

Those all sound like incredible accomplishments, and they are. But what is even more admirable about Jack is his heart of Jesus. You can tell through our conversation that Jesus is number 1, and everything else follows.

This actually allows him to be the best husband, father, soldier, and athlete that he can.

Jack is living out the mission.

On this short episode of MM, I talk about how when things don't go as planned, there is probably a reason. God's has never been caught off guard by the things that seem like roadblocks or distractions in our life.

I believe that if we can have the wisdom to LOOK AROUND and SEEK GOD in those times that the plan changed (or things didn't go as planned...), we can see how God wants to use us in those situations.

On this episode I got the chance to connect with my friend Doug Elks. Doug has been an inspiration of mine for a while, and we have gotten to connect this year through his mens ministry, AIM, which we talk quite a bit about in this episode. Doug and I discuss a pretty wide range of topics including business/ministry ventures, content creation, the message of Jesus and so much more. Doug is a class act kinda guy.
