Katie Petruzziello, a mom of two children with hearing loss, noticed this, as her daughter Mila questioned why no one in her children’s books looked like her. Katie wanted to incorporate hearing loss and the use of hearing technology into children’s books to spread awareness of hearing loss, particularly in children. And so, the Mighty Mila series was born!Learn about Mila’s hearing loss journey, Katie’s motivation to write this series and her advice for parents starting the process of hearing aids and cochlear implants with their children.
