Robert Lee Yates lived a seemingly normal life. As a father of five children and an army veteran, Robert Lee Yates, was well respected in Spokane, Washington. But that all changed after he went on a murder spree between the years of 1975 and 1998, killing 17 women in the back of his Ford van.

Otherwise known as "America's Unknown Child", this story has been profiled extensively on television and in the newspapers and has kept investigators as well as amateur sleuths on their toes to try and solve it for over 60 years.
