Prototype to Production When you are just starting out, not everyone has knowledge of injection molding. Many times, they just have a napkin sketch. At EirMed, we help them bring that napkin sketch to life. Then we create a real file that can be sent to a toolmaker. That toolmaker will then go ahead and build the necessary parts that can be used for molding. From there a product is created that can be made and they can market or they can do whatever they want with it. Robert Williams, Project Manager of EirMed joins host Justin Starbird to talk shop around taking a concept from prototype to production. Robert shares his thoughts on what is important to the process, how Eirmed is unique in the market, and how he helps customers see their vision come to life. There are some general rules that you have to follow to determine if it's injection moldable. Robert shares, "That's the word, "part." Even though there might be different parts for different businesses or different reasons, they all have to go through a pretty much same scenario to determine if a prototype can be turned from an idea to product. At EirMed, We do that. Then other things are coming into play like how many a year, the material, colors, and all that. Then you can start to fine-tune how you want to approach it." Listen as Robert shares with Justin his process and what makes EirMed a leader in this space.
