• Run Billy....Run! -Billy Richards takes the chair

    In this week's episode Billy Richards takes the chair! Billy is from NY and is a veteran who proudly served both in the Marines and Army. After his service Billy walks us through his journey of finding obsession with being an endurance athlete. He sheds light on how he became an Ultra runner and both the accomplishments he has achieved and the toll it has taken on his body. Billy is known for his American Flag that he proudly carries in every event and the 40lb rucksack that he wears as a symbol of the extra burden the veterans carry after their service. Billy also did a thank you tour to police precincts across the country to show his appreciation for their service. Billy is extraordinary not only for the physical accomplishments he has achieved but also the attention he draws for the cause of Veteran's health and mental wellbeing.     -Billy currently works as a personal trainer

    -Has ran close to 600 events

    -In 2016 Billy did a "thank the police tour" where he ran through 39 precincts across the country giving out an American Flag a handwritten thank you and handwritten list of donors to show support and raise morale

    -In 2017 Billy ran 9 Ultra Marathons in 9 days and 4 Marathons in 4 days carrying 45 pounds of canned food and an American Flag to raise money for struggling veterans

    -In 2018 He ran 7 50ks in 7 days as part of the Savage Series becoming the first person to finish the 50k challenge

    -In 2019 Billy attempted a world record for 100 mile runs in a year and finished 37 of them.

    -Billy currently does mostly Spartan Races having finished 158 of them across the US and the world.
