In Washington, Vice President Kamala Harris ended her run for the presidency with a concession speech at her alma mater, Howard University. Republicans clearly had a big night on Tuesday across the country, including in Pennsylvania. The result could be a Trump White House paired with Republican control of Congress. The countdown is on for a possible SEPTA strike Friday morning, and the School District of Philadelphia is making contingency plans. Some 55,000 students ride SEPTA to school each day. The iconic SS United States could be departing a South Philadelphia pier next week for its final voyage to become an artificial reef in the Florida panhandle.

With a win in Wisconsin, he cleared the 270 electoral votes needed to clinch the presidency. Overnight, the Associated Press called Pennsylvania for Trump. The Associated Press has not called the U.S. Senate race yet in Pennsylvania between incumbent Democrat Bob Casey and Republican challenger Dave McCormick, but as of overnight, McCormick is in the lead. Just seconds after polls closed in New Jersey, Congressman Andy Kim was declared the winner in the race to replace Bob Menendez in the U.S. Senate.
