I am worried about this response.

I would like to raise up the people whose calling, vocation, subject-matter expertise and valuable services are critical for the long-term realization of climate and social solutions for a just, fair, equitable, clean world. The US still has to protect her people from environmental harm, and my husband is a federal employee at the EPA and will spend every day of the next four years doing his job. I work on global methane emission abatement from the oil and gas industry with an NGO, and I will be working against the oil and gas industry for the next 4 years to mitigate global warming. We have 2 young kids and will be IN IT hard this presidential term.

I value everything you felt and spoke today; and, I am scared of abandonment from my community because I have to stay engaged. This is what we do and what our family relies upon for income. We are angry, scared, devastated, hurt, and definitely feeling a radical need to lean into community.

your last words about nature were poignant; however, access to nature isn't a given. there are people in your community working their asses off to make nature available to you. please don't abandon us with your disengagement.

Real community starts face-to-face

This episode prompted me to suspect that the whitest thing I ever did was to believe that one election would mark a positive change and make a positive difference.

And…at least part of this episode needed the lens of class: the government (federal, state, or local) was *not* always there for white women unless they were well-off and well-connected.

You can’t love your neighbor only when you win

White woman here but also highly intelligent, a writer, artist and mother. I voted for the safety of our daughters and sisters and mothers of all races. My daughter’s apartment building is housing illegals in TX and 3 women have been rap*d in her complex since they arrived in one month. One was drugged. Another woman being stalked. We need the border closed. Sadly the media isn’t reporting. If this has happened in 1 complex in the last few weeks how much is this actually happening. It’s sad to me you have shown such hate towards me for having different feelings than you. I have listened to every one of your podcasts. I have read your books. I have rooted for you. I have loved you. I expected the same in return. Only love is real. Only love will save us.
