Cold as ice, this young man had been brutally stabbed and skinned; and when his remains were uncovered, they were missing numerous body parts, including his head. This is the absolutely devastating case of Michael Van Eck, who was murdered and flayed by a depraved woman posing as a romantic interest, Chané van Heerden (known as "The Female Ed Gein"), and her disturbed boyfriend, Maartens van der Merwe. On February 13, 2024, a man received a call from his grandchildren's school informing him that their mother, Kristina Joksimovic, a former Miss Switzerland finalist, had failed to pick them up. After collecting the children and bringing them back to their home, he searched the house for clues as to his daughter's whereabouts, and found a large black garbage bag in the basement laundry room. Trembling, he peeled back the plastic to make an absolutely gruesome discovery: Kristina’s signature cascade of golden blonde hair, still attached to her severed head. The horrifying sight raised countless questions, most hauntingly: What had happened to his beautiful daughter, and where was the rest of Kristina? The answers would soon reveal themselves in a manner that shocked and horrified the world. Because parts of Kristina’s remains were discovered soaking in a chemical solution, while others, devastatingly, had been pureed in a kitchen blender.
