  • 175. Dana Day: Special Two Part Episode - Part One: Living Her Passion as a Home Builder
    Mar 11 2025

Dana Day is the Owner of Dana Build and Design in Tulsa. She’s an incredible person who is very passionate about what she does and that is evidenced throughout her 20 plus year career including being selected to appear in a series on HGTV, winning numerous accolades and more. I want to preface this episode by letting you know that this will be a two-part episode. During this visit, she’ll share insight into what led up to her changing careers and jumping into this industry; what she enjoys about it (hint: it has to do with the challenges), and the stigma of being a female in a male dominated business. However, she has also a purpose that is also very important to her and is looking to share it with others. It involves her sister, Leslie, committing suicide. She will share a little about this at the end of the podcast and then will go into more depth in part two of this interview. Stick around to get to know Dana, her talent for working with clients to create custom projects that are on budget and on time. And then learn more of the back story about her sister and the event that shook Dana to her core. I was so honored that she shared this as I know it’s going to be helpful for others to hear her words.

  • 173. Scottie Rae Lawrence: Serial Entrepreneur Who Thrives on Change
    Feb 25 2025

Scottie Rae Lawrence is the Owner of Magnolia Soap in Tulsa and is a self-described serial entrepreneur. It was early-on in her life that she made a significant change in pivoting herself from the formal degree and training she received as a chiropractor into entrepreneurship. During this visit, you’ll hear more about how embracing change aligns with her personality, and how it’s never too late to pursue a career and a life that sets your soul on fire. Her path hasn’t always been easy, but Scottie will admit that it takes tenacity and perseverance to embrace the hard good. Doing so has resulted in learning valuable lessons along the way. She’ll even provide insight into a business that she jumped into thinking it was going to take off and when it didn’t, a lesson she learned from it. She also shares more about how she’s investing in herself and the generous give-back program through Magnolia Soap.
