    Mar 20 2023
I am out of the cave with a new and first published book! 'Don't leave your money behind' discusses how expats can better manage their money in the expat environments. The inspiration goes way back to the start of the covid19 pandemic after I witnessed the negative impact of the pandemic on the lives of global expats. I realized there must be a better way expats can manage their finances to come out of these economies better and wealthier. The books contains portions of my own experience, other real expats, and snippets on almost all areas of an expat experience. Fil Achina Thanks Chair. The book will be on Amazon in Kindle and paperback versions. Here is the pre-order link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BW7TCV81?ref_=pe_3052080_276849420

  • E#20 - Sir Mike Mulato Chilewe - The Making and Unbundling of Mike's Trading Group and Entrepreneurship 101
    Jul 21 2021

From a humble beginning, Sir Mike Mulato Chilewe worked his way up from being a Meter Reader, and later as a Consumers Clerk at ESCOM. Through grace and shear grit he founded Mike's Welding Company and experienced an unbelievable rise to stardom as one of Malawi’s finest entrepreneurs.

From Mike’s Welding Company, he moved on to create Mike’s Steel and later grew the enterprise to Mike’s Trading Group. His business started with manufacturing steel windows frames, door frames and steel gates before diversifying into making vehicle trailers, vehicle canopies as well as truck bodies and boats that saw the company register tremendous financial growth.

To diversify the business, the Group also ventured into the hospitality industry before the enterprise started experiencing a tough financial storm which later saw the hard-earned prowess ebb away - moving Sir Mike into a new dimension of his entrepreneurial quest, where he has earned practical insights on how to build better and bigger.

In this interview he faithfully shares his massive knowledge and wisdom earned from the university of hard-knocks. This is the type of knowledge you don't just get from anywhere. If you truly care about our nation (the growth-agenda) and exponential entrepreneurial success for yourself and your network, this is the type of talks we must be having.

This is one interview I also simply came to learn, and I left Sir Mike to teach as I took notes.

I believe you will enjoy and learn as you push towards your destiny. I will be delighted if you can share the episode with your friends, family and networks. I will also appreciate your feedback via my email address moschavi@gmail.com.
