  • Season 3 Episode 11 - Finding Balance: Yoga and Sustainable Living with Emily
    Jun 3 2025

Emily is a 200hr RYT and also certified in Yin yoga. She has always had a passion for fitness that began at an early age, frequently going to the YMCA with her parents and being inspired by their healthy lifestyles. She experimented with almost every sport imaginable until she decided to stick with cheerleading, which led to a 15 year career. For most of her life, Emily was always drawn towards more high-intensity workouts. It wasn’t until she took her 1st yoga class in 2021 that she realized the importance of slowing down and using workouts as an opportunity to connect with yourself, and that the mental benefits of moving your body with always outweigh the physical results. Outside of yoga, Emily enjoys doing the daily New York Times Games, painting, and planning her next trip to a National Park. In addition to DropSoundEventsPgh, Emily also teaches an all-level flow at Yoga Love in East Liberty Thursday evenings 6pm.
