We had Louis Stockley on this episode. He was here to introduce us to his mission, Before 22 A Day. Louis is a driven person, and he has become a coach working with small groups to help them identify and address what is not working for them. The name "Before 22" is as significant as its meaning. Being there for them and helping them through the moment, but also being there to listen and work is the key. Inspiration for Louis has been the mentors he has had since he got out. Louis would like to launch the next retreat with 20 guys and have them be successful through this event. One of the biggest things the group would like to see transitional protocol - #1 everyone could get an MOS to help them over a longer period so they are ready when they are out, and #2 what if the VA could directly send people to the group as they are getting out and sent into the world. The music was brought by Scott D Taylor! He has been here before, and he was amazing as he shared his music live. Scott finds solace and comfort in music, and this is what he determined he would do when he retired from the Army. Scott is working on some of his own music, and we will be waiting to hear more from him as we go! The first song he shares, Dead Wrong, was written by him but for someone else - you listen and enjoy the bluesy sound flowing through the chords. There is a piece that reflects on how hard it is to find where you fit in after your service, and it is hard! He found that person, but it was still not easy, and it took some motivation to get that going. The second song Scott shares is called Ghost - its about a heartache and though he does not know what inspired it, he wrote it and created the chords for it :) Wreaths Across America – https://www.facebook.com/share/129xDbNmPTJ/?mibextid=WC7FNe WeP3 RADIO — WE are the leading music station featuring music created, written, produced and sung by those who have served their country and communities!!! https://live365.com/station/WeP3-RADIO-a51414 Next Week's Guests: 29 June 2025 Robert Heckler Jeff Canada

How do you spell relief? Why not use #humor !? Ms. Robin Pheonix Johnson - an Army veteran and subject matter expert on applied & therapeutic humor, and Veteran Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University joins us for this episode. She has learned that the best way to get through the day sometimes is to hit the #humor spot and not take yourself too seriously. Robin uses comedy to help her fellow veterans heal. Reducing Veteran suicide and improving mental healthcare is a National imperative. Traditional approaches such as medication and therapy work, but HEALHARIOUS brings innovation and levity as a complementary resource. The applied & therapeutic use of humor allows participants to use comedy to engage in the process of cognitive restructuring thoughts from negative to be positive. She has a lengthy record of presentations of her humor. Check out her special on Vet TV, under Healarious, and see how funny she is. Music on this episode is brought to us by KC Beck. KC comes in with a ton of energy and things to share! Hicks From the Sticks is the first song he shares on this episode. Pretty sure the name speaks for itself :) The next song he shares is called ‘35’, he wrote this a couple years ago when he was 35, and it just tells that story :) The last song is a tribute to his old Ford truck that he has fond memories of cruising down the highway in … and he just wanted to recreate that sound and feeling he had back then. Enjoy his song, Hearts and Tires! We have the author of "Valhalla Boys", Brennen Morton here with us and he has some amazing things to share. He was Marines, Spec Ops, Sniper, etc, and some of these experiences show up in his books. He has a fantasy series, Pendulum Series, with a lead character who is experiencing some of the same traumas and experiences. Yes - this is somewhat Thrones style, but so wrapped into his notes and takes from his military experiences. Brennan has so much to share, and he is one of those keep on going kind of guys! The music on this episode is brought to us by Ryan Daniel. He’s a 10-year Air Force veteran with 7 deployments under his belt. He has issues with PTSD and finds the stage to be his safe space. Ryan encourages others to support the military and 1st responders. He hopes that for the time he’s on stage playing music, he can take some of the stress off the heroes in his audience. Feel Good Feelin’ was written by an Army veteran, Evan Elliot, who ended up taking his life a few years ago. The title says it all. This is a feel-good song. His inspiration comes from Garth Brooks in the country genre, but 3 Doors Down and AC/DC also have a role in his style. This song is promoted as the description of the person that Evan Elliot was in life. Ryan grew up playing music since he was 7 years old. His grandfather was in the Military Band. He ended up joining the Air Force and traveling with the Tops in the Blue Air Force band. He attributes his success to God first, then his work ethic and his love of veterans and first responders. The second song is called Camo. It was written by a really good friend who called him and asked him to sing this song. This is another feel-good song. It makes you want to get out there in your favorite camo and have a little fun. The final song is Backroads and Bonfires. This just won video of the year, and when you hear it, you will know why! What an extremely lively crew and audience we have on this episode! The name ‘Redonkulas’ is fitting, and you will be pleased to know that the episodes created by Terrence Popp are meant to entertain you right out of any stinking thinking. He has so many stories to tell, and he has found a way to deal with and help others cope through the use of comedy. This does get deep, Terrence has a lot of questions about why things are playing out against him and those like him … why is our world so backwards!! When it all comes down, life really can be #redonkulas if we take ourselves too seriously. Music for this show was led by Jeff Jacobs. Jeff is admittedly not a service member, but can connect back to a time when his grandfather went through some stuff with night tremors. Jeff’s first song was titled Always On My Mind. We lost Jeff after his first song so we moved on to playing some music from some of our previous guests. We fired up a little Chris Turner and got to all take a virtual trip to Waffle House with his song titled Take You Out. The last song on the show is Mike Corrado with Stand. What a rush of an episode this is. We have an awesome panel - with guests Steve Guider and Jimmy King. Steve is here in MN and has helped honor and remember those who have fought for our country by running the Veterans Memorial Group that presents an amazing memorial park in Blaine. Shout outs - Rick and Denise Swanson - they have been rockstars in helping with the flowers and landscaping as they prepare for Memorial Day. Today is the dedication of the Fallen Soldier memorial as well. Jimmy is an amputee who has decided that he will face life by not avoiding or hiding his loss of limb, but instead by making as having as much fun as possible. Celebrate those we have lost, celebrate those who lost their lives fighting for our country and say their names to keep them alive for eternity. You can catch more about Jimmy and his wife by checking out Grumpy Crayon Eater and Resident Gimp on social media. The conversation opens with a discussion about how to address each other on Memorial Day correctly… it seems Happy Memorial Day is just not right. Music tonight was a mix of some of our favorites - and that is tongue in cheek, because we have all the favorites on the radio and the show!! We share ‘Life is Good’ by Steven John first. The story Petersen shares is only one of the many that we have about this song. This has the impact of sunshine after a storm. Keep in mind, when things are rough, we just need to get to the next stop. ‘Dear Mom’ by Shannon Book is the next song, and we were graced with Shannon popping in to say hi and share about the moms in the video. This is the song that will get you in the heart and the feels, and you need to watch the full length video with it as well. We close out the show with Scotty Hasting’s haunting song, ‘How do you Choose?’. It is fair to ask God why your buddy doesn’t get to come home, but you are here living and figuring out how to survive the guilt and the pain left behind. This week starts with a new friend - Zach Johnson with Roger Up. Zach is a busy person and sounds like he will not be slowing down anytime soon. There is a lot of depth to the Roger Up program, and he shares so much about the mission and the work they are doing. One really cool new thing that they are doing is a brand new Women’s-Only Group! Berlynn is moving on this, and it is a great place for women to meet and share and heal! They have get away coming up and though it is full right now, they will have much more coming soon. Since July 2023 they have raised over $274,000 and it has all gone back into programming. Zach’s passion and desire to help has been triggered by the loss of friend and brother: CPL Curtis Michael Swenson - KIA 4-2-10 We get to hang with Jesus Daniel Hernandez on this episode, and as Jesus is singing to us on this show, he shares his soul. Things have been rough, but he is getting through it, and he will not stop being that man. Jesus has been taking classes and is learning how to be a web designer, and he wants to use his gift to fight others. During the show, he shares something he wrote a while back, and it is so incredibly touching. It relates to the survivor guilt, and he has a bit of a double-edged sword as he came back from war without brothers, but also left his family, especially his son, to go to that war…. There is no way to get that time back. Jesus first shares L’Orologio, which is a reminder that we are here a very short time so we need to make the best of it. This is a testament to his love for his son and for his brothers that didn’t make it home. The second song Jesus shares is La Llorona and this is a folk story of 'the Crying Woman who is a vengeful ghost in Mexican folklore who is said to roam near bodies of water mourning her children whom she drowned in a jealous rage after discovering her husband was unfaithful to her. Whoever hears her crying either suffers misfortune or death and their life becomes unsuccessful in every field.[1] The last song shared by Jesus Daniel Hernandez, The Walking Tenor, is Amor Ti Viete - from the opera, Fedora, is about a woman’s love that was denied him…. Her eyes say she loves you but her kiss says she doesn’t want you. We got to hang with MR. Delabouche this weekend, and learn about what he does with his Vetmaps program. What an interesting discussion and an amazing couple - James and Wendy! They have all information you need if medical cannabis is the way you want to try. Jonathan: Fighting the war within! Music on this episode was brought in by Robert DePrato, a name new to us on The People’s Patriot Project. Bob was a part of Special Forces and has struggled with PTSD and TBI, receiving a Purple Heart for his troubles. 2005 -2024 in groups. He wasn’t a video gamer, so he taught himself to play guitar in between deployments. Around 2020, he found himself having to deal with a lot of untreated trauma and it all blew over in 2021. Through all of this time he found that music was one of the things that helped him deal with all of the struggles. His influence in music comes from Johnny Cash, Jimmy Hendricks. Since getting out of the military Bob has written over 60 songs and continues to write and improve his songwriting talent. The first song of the night was What Would JC Do? This song was a mix of a real life story from a Marine Raider and a love for Johnny Cash music. Second song was No Way To Die. It’s a song about his friend Robbie Miller. Robbie was stuck on a ridgeline and charged the enemy taking out 12 before succumbing to his wounds, allowing his team to make it out. Robbie was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. Bob would like to go back to school, start a business and all while getting his music off the ground. Sounds like he’s gonna be a busy, busy man. His last song of the night was called Fighting Men. This one is about going to war, coming back and dealing with the transitions and the trauma left from the war. Fighting Men is about those that go to war and have to come back home and continue the fight. Sometimes the fight never ends. . We have Amanda Brown on this episode, to share her mission with Battlin’ Betties! She brought her friend, Sara, and her husband, Jeremy (president of the Tenn. US Veterans Motorcycle Club - 100% Veterans helping Veterans, picking up any slack that is not taken care of otherwise - veteran brotherhood) with her to share all they have been up to! Jeremy has such an awesome Wreaths Across America story to share, and you can hear it on this show! Amanda is a hard - working Battlin Betty, and her passion is to raise sponsors for the wreaths it takes to cover the veteran headstones in her cemetery down there in Tennessee and to support all that is first responder and veteran-related needs. Dawn Rix (link arms and go out on our way) is here to share what she has been up to since the last visit. Dawn is the most sweetest and most talented friend a person could have. The first song Dawn shares tonight is Chosen One. Dawn shared that this one was written in memory of her cousin and her loved one who were in a motorcycle accident and lost their lives … she was given advice about life and how to be the happiest before this happened, and Dawn came up with this song. The second song from Dawn came right after a tight discussion about where we are as a country and a world when it comes to safety, security and the good old days… this song is called “America” and it is simply amazing. We finished off the evening with one more song from Dawn called “Bent Not Broken”. While we did not get the story behind the song, we know that it comes from Dawn’s heart.
