  • On Fredericton’s Waterloo Row you'll find a grey Victorian mansion with a bright red roof. In the 1960s the grand old mansion was converted into a men's residence for University of New Brunswick students but decades earlier it had been the home of Mae and Walter Boyce. He donated the equivalent of half a million dollars to start Fredericton’s beloved Boyce Farmers Market. The couple died in the early 50s and since then residents have experienced spooky happenings, like objects and furniture being moved around, doors opening and closing in the night, and ghostly silhouettes drifting around the house. They claimed that Boyce House's constant inhabitant is a friendly ghost that continues to care for people who live in there today.
