  • "A Difference Between Disruption & Destruction": Trey Gowdy On Gaetz Withdrawal
    Nov 22 2024
Congressman Matt Gaetz has taken himself out of the running for Attorney General in the next Trump administration. The embattled legislator faced heavy criticism after President-elect Trump named him as the pick for AG, with allegations of sexual misconduct surrounding the Congressman. Gaetz announced Thursday he was withdrawing so as “to not distract from the goals of President-elect Trump's agenda.” Former Congressman, host of Sunday Night In America, and host of the Trey Gowdy Podcast, Trey Gowdy joins the Rundown to discuss Congressman Gaetz's decision to step back from his AG nomination, what reforms need to come to the Department of Justice, and takes a look at the "disruptors" that President-elect Trump has picked for his cabinet. With another opportunity to shake things up, President-elect Trump has some different ideas for the economy and federal government finances. There has been speculation that cryptocurrency under the new Trump administration will see a serious boost, as Trump spent some time on the campaign trail saying he would make “the United States the crypto capital of the planet and the Bitcoin superpower of the world.” Co-anchor of America’s Newsroom Sandra Smith explains the moves made by the President-elect and his allies so far to embrace and prioritize crypto in the next administration. Don't miss the good news with Tonya J. Powers. Plus, commentary from attorney and legal analyst, Phil Holloway. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • The GOP's Big Plans To Shrink Government
    Nov 21 2024
DOGE, or the Department of Government Efficiency, slated to be run by Trump allies Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, has begun making waves through Washington. Musk and Ramaswamy have already begun putting out preliminary plans for how they might tighten up federal spending to slash the deficit. Even those not known to be fans of the Trump administration, like Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), are conceding that this new department could be a step in the right direction. Congressman Aaron Bean (R-FL) joins the Rundown to explain why he and other Americans are excited for DOGE to get to work targeting government inefficiencies and wasteful spending. President-elect Trump has announced intentions to appoint former WWE CEO Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education. McMahon previously served on the Connecticut State Board of Education for two years before resigning to run for the Senate, a bid she attempted unsuccessfully twice. Wall Street Journal education reporter Matt Barnum joins to explore what the Department of Education could look like under President Trump, as well as the GOP's plan to transfer power back to the states. Plus, commentary from the host of “Tomi Lahren is Fearless on Outkick,” Tomi Lahren. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Fantastic

I don’t have time to watch the news anymore. I don’t have enough interest in liberal slanted politics of other radio broadcasts. This program is excellent, a quick summary of what I need and want. Well done!

Simply and informative way to get my news

This is a straight and simple forward for getting my morning news while on the move - it’s clear and straight to the point and a great way of getting the news on what’s happening around the country and world. Highly recommend. Especially for those of the 20-40 age range.

Feels a little like I'm listening to MSNBC

I am searching for comprehensive, educational world news with a little deeper dive and a neutral perspective. It strangely seems as if the presenter is taking an antagonistic approach to conservatives and doesn't sound neutral at all. I haven't decided if I want to continue follow.

To many advertisements !

Stories are informative, performers are fine but the number of ads that play are ridiculous. I get tired of listening because some of the ads are as long as some of the stories. If I wanted to listen to that I would watch TV.
