    Feb 7 2025
Earlier this week the Senate confirmed Pam Bondi to lead the Department of Justice. After being sworn in as U.S. Attorney General on Wednesday, Bondi quickly issued several directives. From establishing the "Weaponization Working Group," directing the DOJ to pause all funding to sanctuary cities, and planning to create a new Joint Task Force focused on holding Hamas accountable for its crimes against Jews, her first day in office was a busy one. • The GOP's Unity Is About To Face A Major Test
    Feb 6 2025
President Trump has been working at a swift pace in order to lay out all his policy initiatives in his first 100 days in office. One of those was his cost-cutting Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, headed up by SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Critics are calling for more oversight as the unofficial DOGE department makes budget cuts across the government. President Trump also raised questions across the globe when he suggested that the United States might take control of the Gaza Strip at the conclusion of its conflict with Israel. Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer (R) joins the Rundown to discuss the future of Gaza, respond to critiques of the DOGE department, and what comes next in the process to extend the federal budget. The U.S. has sent the first group of migrants to Guantanamo Bay, as the Trump administration follows through on plans to expand this prison for terrorists to include space to house deported migrants. As President Trump’s first wave of mass deportations have targeted illegal immigrants, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says this demonstrates the President “is not messing around.” Former federal prosecutor and criminal defense lawyer joins the podcast to explain the legality of sending deported migrants to Guantanamo. • Evening Edition: Rethinking Gaza Following War
    Feb 5 2025
President Trump, standing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, proposed the possibility of the United States assuming control of Gaza to lead in its rebuilding efforts. The President suggested the Palestinian people be resettled somewhere else while the complete routing out of Hamas and the infrastructure rebuilding take place. The idea was immediately rejected by Arab nations of Egypt and Jordan, two nations President Trump has tried to convince to take in more Palestinians. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Richard Goldberg, Senior Advisor for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, who says while there was some shock over President Trump's comments, we should not be shocked about him thinking differently about the Israeli-Palestinian long running conflict. • Rising Trade Tensions And Your Grocery Bill
    Feb 5 2025
President Donald Trump imposed ten percent tariffs on Chinese imports earlier this week, just a day after the tariffs on Canada and Mexico were put on a 30-day pause. The White House says the tariffs are punishing China for allowing fentanyl into the United States. Former US Ambassador to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture, Kip Tom, joins to share why farmers like him will benefit from the tariffs and what it will mean for the economy. Fentanyl is now considered the deadliest drug in American history, and President Trump’s administration has levied tariffs on China in an effort to end ‘the mass invasion of fentanyl in our country.’ Calling it a “national emergency,” the Trump administration says Chinese manufacturers are knowingly selling chemicals to further fentanyl production at our borders. New York City Special Narcotics prosecutor Bridget Brennan explains how chemical sales from China circumvent the legal system and worsen the fentanyl crisis. Later, she explains the role of social media and the border play in the nation’s illegal drug trade. Plus, commentary by a former U.S. Secretary of Energy, Rick Perry. • The Growing Fight Over Shrinking Government
    Feb 4 2025
President Trump and his hand-picked leader of DOGE, Elon Musk, have set their sights on cutting funding to the U.S. Agency for International Development, known as USAID. On Monday, Trump told reporters he “loves the concept” of helping around the world “but [the organization] turns out to be all radical left lunatics.” Some Democrats have expressed outrage; however, many lawmakers say the truth is that USAID is spending federal dollars wastefully and on the wrong things. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX) joins the Rundown to explain why cutting USAID may be necessary and what to make of Trump’s personnel changes at the FBI. Later today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with President Donald Trump to discuss Israel's "victory over Hamas," hostages release logistics, and dealing with Iran. Netanyahu is the first foreign leader to visit the White House since President Trump took office last month, highlighting the new administration's priorities. Despite the ceasefire, the Prime Minister is facing intense pressure to resume the war in Gaza, and the U.S. is working to extend the truce. FOX Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst joins from Tel Aviv to preview the meeting and discuss phase two of the negotiations. Plus, commentary by a former investment banker and author of 'You Will Own Nothing,' Carol Roth. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
