    As entrepreneurs and content creators, we spend a lot of time talking about things like marketing, positioning, growing an audience, and making sales. And all of that matters! But there's a foundational element that comes before any of thatand it has to do with who you are, not just what you're selling.

    • People don't just buy a product or service; they buy from the person behind it. Your authenticity and personality matter just as much as your offers.
    • It's okay to repel people who aren't a good fit for your brand. By being your true self, you'll attract the customers who are perfectly aligned with you.
    • Avoid a scarcity mindset! There are plenty of customers out there for everyone. Focus on serving your ideal customers, not trying to be everything to everyone.
    • Share your story, not just promotions. Give people a glimpse into your life beyond just business. This helps them connect with you on a deeper level.

    Are free lead magnets the best way to attract customers? Usually no, but sometimes yes. There are a few occasions when offering a freebie before asking for the sale is a smart strategy. But it has to be the right kind of freebie, meaning, one that attracts the right people and nurtures them toward a conversion. In this episode of The Inspired Business podcast, you’ll learn when you should use a freebie and when you shouldn’t—and why. Plus we’ll touch on what makes a freebie valuable (for you as well as for the customer) and why giving stuff away for free is still not my favorite strategy in most situations.
