• Episode 91: The Mysterious Death of Ellen Greenberg
    May 12 2025

In this episode of Unexplained America, your host Lisa will discuss the sad and strangely mysterious death of Ellen Greenberg.

On January 26, 2011, Ellen Greenberg would be found dead in her apartment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that she shared with her fiance.

Ellen's death is at first ruled as a homicide by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner Dr. Marlon Osborne; however, the Philadelphia Police Department decide that lack of an intruder made the scene look like a suicide; even though Ellen sustained twenty stab wounds --many of which, were to the back of her neck and head area.

The Philadelphia ME would change the manner of death to suicide which would lead Ellen's parents on a 14 year legal battle with the state of Pennsylvania.

Listen to hear full details and note the actual 911 call is included in the episode.

  • Episode 78: The Gowrow An Arkansas Cryptid
    Apr 5 2025
In this episode of Unexplained Arkansas, your host Lisa and special guests Elaine and Cody from Cryptids Across The Atlas Podcast as they discuss the Gowrow--an Arkansas Cryptid.According to Vance Randolph; reports of the Gowrow go back to the 1880's. The Daily Arkansas Gazette on January 31, 1897; published a news article written by Elbert Smithee. Elbert outlined a story about a Little Rock businessman who had traveled to the Ozark area of Arkansas, specifically a small town named Blanco in Searcy County. There Miller heard ghastly stories of a green monster that had been killing livestock and even people. Allegedly, in the article it stated that William Miller took a photo of the monster--a drawing of this photo was posted in the newspaper and is the thumbnail for this episode. He then stated that he and the townspeople killed the monster after finding the monster in a cave with human and animal bones. Wiliam Miller, then stated, he had sent the photo and even the bones of the Gowrow to a museum in Washington D.C. but the evidence never arrived there and was lost....This and more is discussed in length in this episode--listen to whole story.References for this Episode:https://encyclopediaofarkansas.net/entries/gowrow-5669/https://cryptidz.fandom.com/wiki/Arkansas_Gowrowhttps://www.ky3.com/video/2020/11/11/place-did-gowrow-exist/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTW5o-HXKo4https://youtu.be/JOqYEIzSIXs?si=zvRxipK8HxmLPIxFhttps://www.ancestry.com/https://www.newspapers.com--several articlesContact Information for Cryptids Across the Atlas:Show Notes Links: Cryptid Map https://thecryptidatlas.com/cryptid-map/Website https://thecryptidatlas.com/To listen to or watch our weekly episodes, check out “Cryptids Across the Atlas,” available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else you get your podcast!
