About this listen

In this podcast, Elders Randall & DeBorrah K. Ogans share biblically based insight, guidance, and advice on Life & Living, Marriage & Relationships, Family & Parenting, Faith & Belief, Church & Religion, Spiritual Health, and more.

Weekly episodes encourage listeners to live life out loud, walking/living in the light, doing what the Lord requires of us in every area of life. What does the Lord require of us? To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.

Jesus said "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life".

To walk in the light is to have a daily commitment to living out a righteous life. Blessed(happy) are those who walk in the light of His presence. His word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. For it is in Him that we live, and move, and have our being.

This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanseth us from all sin.

Always keep in mind, the transforming power of the Lord, is truth. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and everything else will be added unto you.

If you haven't already, make a commitment today, to start Walking In the Light.

  • Trust In The Lord and Wait Patiently - Psalm 5
    Jun 18 2025

Psalm 5 reflects King David's personal experience of being slandered and betrayed. His life was filled with challenges, yet he learned to "ALWAYS TRUST GOD!"

David's journey demonstrates that despite complex situations and feeling burdened, turning to the Lord and patiently waiting on Him brings unexplainable peace. This peace comes from recognizing God as the ultimate source of security and significance, who protects and directs the righteous.

Trust is crucial for a good relationship with the Lord. It means entrusting our well-being and happiness to Him, recognizing that God always knows if and when He is a priority in our lives.

Trusting God means believing He is omniscient and knows everything about everyone and everything past, present, and future. It's a fundamental aspect of becoming strong in Him and learning to be open and honest with Him.

God provides Protection and Direction for those who abide in Him and trust His divine plan.

  • Redemption - "Let The Redeemed Of The Lord Say So" - Psalm 107
    Jun 11 2025

The phrase "Let The Redeemed Of The Lord Say So" (Psalm 107:2) is often used in worship, but its deeper meaning regarding why and how people are redeemed is not always fully understood.

"Saying So" means acknowledging Christ's redemptive work and living a transformed life.

To "Say So" as the redeemed of the Lord means to acknowledge and declare a profound understanding of "Redemption". It's not just an exuberant verbal response during worship, but a conscious recognition that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, redeemed us.

It’s an outward expression of an inward transformation, and appreciation for Christ's sacrifice.

  • True Beauty Comes From Within
    Jun 4 2025

When you hear the word “beauty”, where does your mind usually go. Is it the images we see everywhere, the perfect face, the ideal body type, the latest trends?

True beauty comes from within, specifically from one's soul, which is the essence of who they truly are. It is not superficial or external, but is deeply embedded into the fabric of one's being by God, who is love.

This inner beauty flourishes as an individual embraces God's Word, grows in His grace, and allows the fruit of His Spirit to manifest within them. It's a "wellspring of love and truth" that comes forth from the depth of the heart.

Listen and learn that beauty is not just skin deep.
