Blade.... Named for the razor-sharp bowies that never left his side, he was unmatched in size and strength. In post-nuclear America, he was the last hope of what was left of the civilized world. The freedom force... Six men trained in the art of killing; each was a perfect instrument of death. In a ravaged world crawling with mutants and savages, their talents were much in demand.

Led by Blade, they were seven hand-picked members of the Freedom Federation. Each was a volunteer because no one had the guts to order them to go anywhere; each alone was worth an army - together, they couldn’t be stopped. The Mission: Sanitize the Outlands of Oregon, which were under the rule of a vile race of mutants called the Reptiloids. Their diabolical leader had a taste for pitting humans against each other in Roman arena combat, and all the lizard-men had a taste for human flesh.

In the arid San Diego Dead Zone, murderous fiends called the Vampires were kidnapping young girls to use them as the main course at a sick feast. Nobody knew if the Vampires were the inhuman monsters of legend, or human aberrations twisted by the nuclear holocaust. No matter what they were, Blade wanted them killed—even if he had to drive a stake through every one of their hearts.

Sent by the Federation into the Arctic Circle to reactivate the Alaskan pipeline for an energy-starved post-World War III world, Blade and his team encounter a madman bent on destruction of what is left of the planet.

Post-World War III high-seas pirates menace the town of Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, and Blade and his fearsome fighting force step in to scuttle the band’s skullduggery and put an end to the burgeoning slave trade.

Good cops have no use for coincidence. When a driver slams his pickup truck—twice—into a tandem bike being ridden by Carlos Guzman and his fiancée, Tasha, in Briones, California, it's more than a simple hit-and-run; the driver clearly intended to harm them. Undersheriff Estelle Reyes-Guzman gets the call with the news of her son's accident and wastes no time racing to his side. She is greeted by Police Captain Eddie Mitchell, formerly of Posadas County, who allows Estelle to "consult" on the investigation—but only to a point.

Life was hell in nuked-out America—and the only salvation was death. Blade fights to protect his wife and son when the terrors of post-nuclear America follow them from the city to the secluded lake where they have camped out.

In the mountains of Baja California, a man they called El Diablo was raiding civilized settlements and leaving a trail of corpses in his wake. Backed by the Freedom Force, Blade stormed into the Baja to put an end to El Diablo's reign of terror, but had he finally met his match?

Global nuclear war had left the earth a stinking cesspool, polluted by radioactive fallout and poisoned by chemical toxins. Mutations abounded. Barbarians reigned. Against them all fought the Freedom Force, civilization’s last hope for survival. And when Los Angeles fell victim to a mindless incursion of savages, it was up to the Force to lift the siege. Matching violence with super violence and death with megadeath, Blade and his comrades blew into the City of Angels like devils out of hell–and L.A. would never be the same.

After World War III, areas that had sustained direct nuclear strikes were left as uncharted, contaminated wastelands. These dead zones became breeding grounds for vicious, man-eating monsters. When giant bat-men started terrorizing the Dakota Territory, Blade and the Force tracked them to the heart of a dead zone.

The seven-foot-tall, iron-muscled leader of the Freedom Force, he headed the struggle to restore order after World War III plunged the Earth into chaos. But even Blade couldn’t save everyone from dying at the hands of the maniacs, murderers, and mutants who ranged the nuked-out land.

Searching for an old comrade, Blade hoped to sneak in and out of Mesaville without trouble. He didn’t know that Death Master had other plans for him that didn’t include leaving. Caught in a trap, Blade had to destroy Mesaville to save his life – and civilization.

An elite fighting squad led by Blade, they struggled against the madmen and mutations bent on destroying mankind in the barbarous era following World War III. In a land where betrayal was a way of life, their friends were few, and their enemies grew more deadly every day.
