Friendships Online

Constance believes she knows her online friends very well. Or does she? After all it’s been five years of tweeting and sharing information. So by now she certainly feels a bond. Finally getting the chance to meet her friends: Stan, Karmel, Henry, Jagger and Estelle, at a glitzy party at The Dorchester hotel with a bag full of gifts and a smile, she’s excited to surprise them all and catch up in person.

After finally meeting in person at the publishing party of the season, Constance and Estelle are determined not to let their friendship return to mere virtual champagne bottles and uploaded pictures of food. It’s been a busy year, and Constance feels it’s time to reward herself with the spa break Estelle gave her for Christmas. Naturally, Constance wouldn’t dream of taking anyone other than Estelle, and this will provide the perfect opportunity to bond with her new chum.

After a shocking confrontation with an unexpected encounter, Constance tries to piece her life back together and is on a mission to finally move on. The thought of having her friends nearby is a comfort as they take time out of their busy online lives and regularly meet up at their favourite place, A Cupful of Dreams Café. Everyone seems happy enough until cracks begin to show and all is not as good as it seems. Constance tries desperately to keep positive as there’s so much to look forward to: shopping for posh frocks, dinner at The Shard, and a movie premiere.
