When Theo Hesson visits his grandparents for the summer, he has no idea what's in store for him and his new friends. Until they attend the showing of that week's Saturday matinee monster movie. That's when the monsters come out of the woodwork, and it's up to Theo and his friends to save the day!

When 11-year-old Theo goes to stay with his grandparents during the summer break, he's sure it's going to be a long, boring six weeks. After all, what's there to do in a town so small everyone knows his name before he even gets there? Then Theo meets Bay and Jilly, two kids who love monster movies...right before the movie cuts out and something howls inside the theater!

After their last adventure with a werewolf, Theo and his new friends are sure the rest of the summer will be free and clear. Then, a weird flash interrupts that week's zombie matinee, leaving the kids with just one thought: Not again!

Something strange is happening in Deadwood Hollow, and it may have something to do with the first rule Theo learned while visiting his grandparents: Never go into the woods.
