The Quran, a book which brings glad tidings to mankind along with divine admonition, stresses the importance of man's discovery of truth on both spiritual and intellectual planes. Every book has its objective, and the objective of the Quran is to make man aware of the Creation plan of God. That is, to tell man why God created this world; what the purpose is of settling man on Earth; what is required from man in his pre-death life span, and what he is going to confront after death.

The Holy Quran is comprised of 114 suwar (plural of surah, or chapter), each divided into verses. The shortest surah (Al-Kawthar) has only three verses while the longest (Al-Baqarah) contains 286 verses.

The Noble Quran, literally meaning "the recitation", also romanized Qur'an or Koran, is the central religious text of Islam, which Muslims believe to be a revelation from Allah SWT (God). It is widely regarded as the finest work in classical Arabic literature. The Quran is divided into chapters (surah in Arabic), which are then divided into verses (ayah). كتاب رياض الصالحين للإمام النووي الدمشقي يجمع الأحاديث الصحيحة المروية عن الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم في شؤون العقيدة والحياة، مرتبة في أبواب وفصول لسهولة الرجوع إليها. يضم الكتاب 1903 أحاديث مروية بسند مختصر يبدأ بالصحابي غالباً، مقسمة على 372 فصلاً. ينقل أقوال الرسول وأفعاله كما يرويها الصحابة، وأحياناً ينقل أقوال الصحابة وأفعالهم. يتوزع الكتاب على خمسة عشر كتاباً تضم 373 باباً مرقمة بالتسلسل.

يشتمل الكتاب على وصايا وأذكار وحكم ومواعظ رقيقة وقريبة بلغة صوفية عذبة يحبها الجميع، عن إطعام من استطعمك وذكر الله وترك المعاصي وكثير من جوانب الحياة وخلواتها.

لا يُقدّم العقّاد كتابه "عبقريّة محمد"، مجرّد سردٍ للسّيرة النّبويّة، وإنّما أراد في كتابه تقديرًا لعبقريّة محمّد عليه الصّلاة والسّلام، فهو يرى أنّ إعطاء العظمة حقّها لازمٌ في كلّ أوان وبين كلّ قبيل، فالعبقريّة قيمة في النّفس قبل أن تبرزها الأعمال، وإنّ محمد وقد رجح به ميزان العبقريّة، وميزان العمل، وميزان العقيدة، نبيٌّ عظيم، وبطلٌ عظيم، وإنسان عظيم.

يتحدث الكتاب عن قصص الأنبياء الذين ورد ذكرهم في القرآن وبعضاً ممن لم يرد ذكرهم في القرآن صراحة ولم يتعرض ابن كثير في كتابه لقصة نبينا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم إذ بدأ بقصة آدم عليه السلام وانتهى في كتابه بعيسى عليه السلام وقد سار ابن كثير في كتابه بمنهج يوحي بالثقة ويشعر بالطمأنينة إذ اعتمد فيما ذكر فيه على ما ورد في القرآن الكريم كما خلا ما يستشهد به من حديث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الموضوع ولم يعتمد إلا فيما ندر على الضعيف من الحديث يضاف إلى ذلك أن الكتاب سلم من الإسرائيليات نهائياً وكيف لا وهو الإمام الحافظ المحدث

تُعدّ سلسلة العبقريّات من أشهر مؤلّفات العقّاد، وفي هذا الكتاب يُقدّم العقّاد سيرةَ الإمام عليّ، مُشيرًا إلى الجوانب الإنسانيّة في شخصيّته، كما يُسلّط الضّوء على بعض أفكاره الفريدة في التصوّف والشّريعة والأخلاق، وتحدّث العقّاد كذلك عن أخلاق الإمام عليّ، فذكر نقاء سريرته وعلوّ همّته، وغزارة علمه، وزهده وحكمته، وشجاعته، فضمّن هذا الكتاب سيرةً عظيمةً جاعلًا محورها جوانب النّفس الإنسانيّة.

وقد خصص المجلد الثاني من الكتاب -يتألف من ثلاثة أبواب- للحديث عن جهاد الصحابة في سبيل الله، وحرصهم على اجتماع كلمة المسلمين، وإنفاقهم في سبيل الله».
