About this listen

Josie doesn’t need any help raising her son.

Pregnant at 16, Josie learned the hard way about men and their empty promises. She picked herself up and is raising her 11-year-old son. By herself. And that’s the way she intends it to stay. Unfortunately, her impressionable boy becomes fascinated by the scruffy, intimidating biker who lives next door.

The scars on Holt’s face are only the most visible of his wounds.

Out of the hospital after being attacked in his own damn house, Holt is coming to terms with the fact that his scars frighten people. Like his now-ex-girlfriend, who ran after one look at him. Like his redheaded neighbor, who hauled her boy away as if Holt was a serial killer. Fine. He’ll give the pretty bartender all the space she wants.

The Shadowlands will bring them together....

When Josie starts bartending in the exclusive, private club, she discovers her neighbor is a member. And a Master - a skilled, powerful Dom who can make her fantasies come true. Slowly, the firefighter breaks down the walls around her heart, teaching her how to trust. How to love...

But when her son’s choices lead to disaster, can their relationship survive?

🤗

This was such a great addition to the shadowlands series! I am very happy for Holt after what happened to him in the last book. This one gave me the warm and fuzzies. Lol.

great book

I loved this story. The author does a great job showing that BDSM lifestyles are not sleazy. I love the push for honesty and the friend family support dynamic.

absolutely fantastic loved Josey and Holt

omg I loved the ebook but Holy hotness the audiobook freaking rocks and the narrator's voices made it more real. I couldn't wait for Master Holts book and this audiobook didn't disappoint me. I can't get enough of the shadowlands.

Good story

I really enjoyed this story. Especially with the other sub plots that where left from her other books. I can not get enough of the Masters of the Shadowland series.

Hawt!

These stories just get better and better! Each one is unique and kept my attention until the last word! Noah Michael Levine and Erin Deward sucks you right into it as though you are watching every second with the narration of it!

Opening Up

I love Josie's strength and her fierce determination to care for herself and her child. Her opening herself to Hold is more poignant because it shows true trust and caring. Holt shows patiences and understanding. He isn't perfect but he owns up to his mistakes. I love how his love is bot for Josie and her son.

I also love the dual narration.

Holt was such a sweetie..normally doesn’t describe Dom

Josie and Holt’s story was so sweet. Oh sure, there was hot sex and Dom behavior, but overall it was a sweet story. I wish we had some more information in what happened to the little boy Brandon (I know, I was too involved in the story☺️), but I thoroughly enjoyed the kids dilemma about friendship, change, bullies, etc...Holt has a way with the kids and watching him with Carson and all of his puberty angst was brilliant.
Now while there were times that Josie was working my nerves, I had to appreciate that she on her own since she was 16 so she had very little experience with relationships and men in general..I loved that she was very open about her insecurities and when she needed to apologize or adjust her thinking, she was mature enough to do so and quickly.
Holt knew Josie was his and he staked his claim on her without hesitation.

Really curious about the new security guard and his story though 😉
