Great start to a new series.
New Author for me. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Narration smooth and easy with verbal demarcation of each character easy to differentiate. A few hanky sodden moment's. Builds a fantacy world with some twists that were original. Pleasently surprised by this new to me Author. Pretty graphic. Mature readers only. Humor was a great respite. Had a strong Heroine that I truely liked.

FINALLY! - An audio book done right
I really like Cherise Sinclair's Wild Hunt Series. No only have I purchased the books but I was really excited that the audio version had come out for the 1st in the series. This audio version is fantastic. Imagine - having a male wonderful voice actually narrate all the male voices and a female voice narrate all the female voices! What a wonderful and unique idea (heavy sarcasm). Why this has not been done before - I really am at a loss.
I really enjoy having the audio versions of my favorite books to listen to while driving, doing chores or working in the yard. It makes the work go quicker - this is the first audio book that really brings the characters to life.
Now about the story: (I never recap a story just state what I like or dislike. The description of the book does a good enough job.)
Great character development which makes it easy to picture the characters in the reader's mind. The reader comes to know the characters - what they look like, what drives that character, the characters' inner strengths and weaknesses.
Great world building. Enough so that the reader can, again, picture the landscape and rules of the imaginary world but not so much that the story becomes bogged down and tedious.
Absolutely great plot with NO Plot holes, no hitting the reader over the head with the same information given over and over, and no dumbing down by treating the reader as if the reader is unable to understand basic ideas. This is an adult book written for adults.
This is a PNR with just enough romance and build up of the romance to make it hot but not so much that it overshadows the plot. This is not a story for anyone looking for a "Mary Sue" waiting for her "knight in shining armor" kind of tale. The female characters are strong and there are not any TSTL moments.
This is about shifters - people who can shift into animals. So if you are NOT into paranormal romances - don't buy this book. It also has some explicit love making scenes, some bloody action scenes and some swearing. It does fit the action scenes and the plot. Again, this is an adult book and no you will not want to read it to the kids as a bedtime story.
The book was totally engrossing and I did not want to stop reading it until the very last word. Warning - the audio is also totally engrossing making it hard to hit the pause or stop button.

My favorite book of the series
This is a great series and understand the feelings the characters have throughout the book.
I can wait for book 5 to come on audible it is my next favorite even though I listen and reread them all.

Loving this first story in the series
Read this story already, but thoroughly enjoyed the audio version.
Vicki is a marine on a mission to find the family of the young man who died in her arms and to determine if they are a danger to the country given that they turn into giant cats. What she doesn’t expect to find is a community of shifters of various species, a handsome sheriff, and a powerful bar keeper. When they all come together to save the town and each other, can Vicki find love with this new group of people/ shifters and can they learn to love her.
I loved this story..there were so many moving parts and each one more interesting than the next. Cahir, Cosentor, hellhounds,..it was truly a fascinating story and I’m each one will be better than the last.

Loved it!
Loved the story - can’t wait to listen to another Cherie’s Sinclair book. Couldn’t stop listening to it!!

Great Storyline!
This was wonderfully written! The world building was great, the rules of the fae so intriguing and refreshing, with wonderful characters that upon meeting one another, learn to open their hearts and grow, becoming better people by themselves and with one another. *sigh* I can not wait for the rest of the series to come out on audible, seriously this is such an amazing world that Sinclair has created and i need more! Audible get the rest of the series!
***SPOILER TRIGGER WARNING***
In the first 20 mins of listening to this audiobook, there is a heart breaking scene between our heroine and a young boy who painfully and tragically dies in her arms, thus getting the ball rolling for the story. Just be prepared to cry, I did.

Shifter romance on steroids
Cherise has penned a shifter romance so fast paced you really have to pay attention to keep up. And sex, The word should be in all caps. Every thing starts out as it should, mild. But as th story progressed, the pace increased, as does the intensity of the sex. Definitely more than PG 13.
Hold on as Cherise takes you on a terrific ride!
