About this listen

You know how people say they woke up in Vegas married and you're like, how the hell could that possibly happen? Who does that? Well, us, apparently...and the press is having a field day. Let's not even get started on the topic of my mother. Then there's my grandpa wanting to meet my new husband - that's not scary at all. On top of that, we're heading out on tour, and I'm a nervous wreck. Did I mention that Jesse's newly changed marital status doesn't seem to be an issue for the groupies? Nothing deters them. Not even the fact that I'm standing right there when they proposition him. I can handle the press, my mom, and even my grandpa. But the women who are ruining my current mood of "happy" - well, they've got another thing coming. It's time to put these women in their place because nobody messes with my happily ever after.

Less Jersey Shore Barbie

Book 2 is an improvement over book 1. Less Jersey Shore Barbie, more story; though it is written as a serial with each book picking up from the last. CJ has a kind of earnestness to her voice that works with Lucy & Sera; not so much the adults or male characters. Still, worth it as kindle; kindle with audio if price wasn't increased. Don't buy as Audible unless you confirmed serious sale price, comparable with kindle.

Nice book two

I love this series storyline. Falling Down narrator set the bar really high and this narrator just did not quite meet that mark. There were times I couldn't tell what character was talking. It's not a horrible narration, just didn't add to the story. Don't know why they changed. I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to Amplify. I am really disappointed that the other books in the series are not in audible format.

Mobsters and Groupies

The book is great a little suspense with the mob and groupies. just wish they had a male voice, it would have made the story even better.

Awesome Second in Series

This book is just as good as the first. I thought it would have to work hard to compare to the first book, but it succeeded or maybe surpassed. This second book was so exciting. It wasn't just a romance. Their problems are similar to most people's problems. Ms. Mercier did an excellent job with the development of the cast and the characters. Some great surprises. My wish to see this made into a movie was reinforced with the thrill and suspense in this second book. Again, this narrator did a great job. However, it was hard to tell whose voice was whose without listening extra carefully. Looking forward to Series Book 3.

Better to pass and not waste your time.

This is my first book by this author and it was ok, I did read the reviews and got a mixed signal of good and bad. I didn't listen to the first book in this series(yes, i thought i did) but after getting into this book realized I hadn't. The beginning sounded interesting. Her grandpa is the head honcho of the Italian mob (in america at least), her husband is a major rock star and she herself was an actress who changed careers to singing in a band. The premise of the story was interesting, but not well executed, the characters seemed shallow and not solid. Maybe I needed to read the first book. The twists didn't make sense and the sex scenes seems forced and as a filler for time and pages. I was often looking to see how much time is left in the story which shouldn't happen when it's only a little over 7 hours long. I was left with a couple questions: 1st week of the tour she's in the ER room for a broken hand, and it seems like the four month tour is over on the 3 or 4th week because someone was attempting to assassinate her. Then there are more people being added to the 5 buses is it just 4 people or 7 or 8 people. So her transitions are not clear and are confusing. From my understanding this series has to be read in order because each book picks up where the last left off, and that is a fact. I don't recommend reading this before book 1 and I doubt I'll even do that. I did receive this book free through audible escape and will not be keeping. I don't think its really worth a credit. maybe its one you would enjoy actually reading.

The narrator was a little speedy and rushed the entire story which other reviewers commented about.

Blush

I had some problems with this one. Some things (again) just came to easy to them and I didn’t really get why they kept on taking in more people ( the doctor, the cook). And I know it’s fiction but there were a few times when things just seemed to unrealistic.

UGH!

This narrator sucks! She performed this like she was on speed! This was so disappointing! I enjoyed "Falling Down" so much and this one I couldn't even follow because the narrator didn't take a freakin breath! Glad I got this book on prime and read it without this annoying narrator.
