About this listen

In the New York Times bestselling novel On Dublin Street, Joss and Braden fought for their happily ever after. Now, in a romantic new novella, they'll discover what comes after the happy ending…

Braden Carmichael never imagined he'd fall as hard and as fast as he did for Jocelyn Butler. He also could not have anticipated how difficult it would be to convince her to give in to love. But now that he has her, he's never letting go. He's got it all planned - the passionate proposal, the dream wedding, the sexy Hawaiian honeymoon - even the perfect family they'll start.

After trying to flee from her painful past, Joss is finally allowing herself to embrace the future. But when things start moving faster than she anticipated, she finds herself panicking over something Braden can't understand. After everything they've been through, Joss is sure that their love can survive even her worst fears. But, this time, she may push Braden too far - and risk losing everything all over again…

Too short but great.

I have really come to enjoy these characters and the performances, and appreciate the Novellas as they allow us to continue to look into the lives of the characters. Hopefully there will be more stories about these two that started it all.

A TRIBUTE TO FANS! EXCELLENT!!!

This novella was so well executed! Sometimes, authors want to provide readers with a little more of the characters they loved so much, but many times these projects fall flat. However, this book made me feel all of the emotions I felt with Braden & Jocelyn's original story in "On Dublin Street."

The novella starts out so smooth and just enjoyable. There's a comfort level in reading and you feel like you're on cruise control. The proposal was adorable & so romantic! I also liked how Joss was coming around in her attire---there's mention of pencil skirts, sun dresses, 4-inch heels---NICE!--Very feminine Joss!

The wedding was just beautiful and I could not stop tearing up during the toasts, especially Braden's to his bride. It made me see the romance through his eyes. I loved the cute games Braden and Joss engage in…very teasing and super hot! Oh, & the honeymoon was sumptuous and had some good measure of love & war. OMG, but right when you think you are safe and this is going to be an easy read---BAM!-There is this emotional draw and I felt so angry, sad and just wanted to punch someone!!! But, thankfully, the resolution was beautiful between the two, and everything was perfect again. I love the commitment and insatiable need Braden & Jocelyn share. There is an emotional depth between the two that make their romance so compelling and lovely.

This book is just shear lush, and such a gift to fans and those who count Braden & Jocelyn among their favorite insatiable couples.

Nice Wrap Up

Nice wrap up for Braden and Joss. We hear bits and pieces of the rest of their story in Jo and Olivia's books. So it's great to get a first person perspective of the proposal, wedding, honeymoon and pregnancy. Joss and Braden always provide a good time. The beginning of their honeymoon at the airport was a fangirl's dream. It was so cute and sexy. Joss and Braden's chemistry is top notch. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end.

However I was somewhat disappointed in the reserve of character development regarding kids. Both Joss and Braden revert back to a lack of communication regarding each other's reactions to the news. But that could be some unresolved issues that got caught up in their "best sex ever". Nevertheless Joss and Braden always find a way to find their way back to each other in the most beautiful way.

Overall I enjoyed watching them continue to love each other despite their flaws. And I think parenthood was the kick in the pants they both needed to grow as individuals together.

Great follow up to On Dublin Street

Any additional comments?

This is a great little follow up to Joss and Bradens story. I loved it all. I personally read it as book #4 in the series and I would recommend that to everyone...it just fits there perfectly. I was sad this was short, but I was ever so happy I had book #5 in the series, Before Jamaica Lane, to start right after I finished this. I bought this one...It was expensive for a novella...but not one I would miss just because of that......I bought it vs. using a credit as there are so many more longer books out there that cost more so I saved my credit for something else. I recommend this to anyone who has started this series!

Great Story

Where does Castle Hill rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of my preferred series. Probably top 3. I like all of the characters and I like the transformation of Joss, even though she finds it difficult.

Have you listened to any of Paula Costello’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't but she does a great job.

Any additional comments?

I love this series of books. Joss and Braden aren't my favorite couple, but I enjoyed their story so much that I wanted to continue listening. I love the families and how open and accepting they are of their friends. So glad Joss got her happen ending even though she didn't think she would.
