I’m not completely sure what happened

This story is the reverse of 90% of the books I’ve read like this. I’m so used to enemies to friends, not friends to enemies. They had such an amazing cast of male narrators and barely used them. The female narrators did well but they could have done so much more. Those last 8 chapters were such a rollarcoaster. Honestly I’m still not sure what I just read…. I just… idk.

Good but starts slow

This book was interesting. I was really excited for it to come out (it kind of gave me credence vibes minus the taboo element) but let me tell you, this was a slow start. Like reallllllly slow burn. More than half way through before anything spicy happens. Also, the story is essentially told 100% in the fmc’s voice, which is a shame bc…why have Jacob Morgan on the mic if he hardly talks?? Idk if I can recommend this, but also it wasn’t bad. I’m still confused on how I feel. But here’s the thing, the plot twist was twisting—I def wasn’t expecting that!

Ch 1-5 were not great. There was potential but…

Ch 1-5 were a bit difficult to get through. After that I thought I could maybe get into it. I’m over half way through and just can’t. I’ve read books without less plot that were better. MFC voice will be normal tone one second then suddenly extremely loud Mo@ning like yell.

DNF

I gave this book a chance because I enjoy the narrators, however, I made it to chapter 5 and couldn't stand the story anymore. The problems I had with this story is, the FMC is 20 years old but goes to live with her dad because her mother passed away, her dad has no problem getting her alcohol even though she's under the legal age to drink and tries to tell her who she can hangout with. Then, she opens her front door in just a towel and lets her father's friend lead her upstairs to her bedroom even though she says she's not attracted to him and is panicking about loosing her virginity. If, after that you're still interested in this story, than give it a shot but it's not for me.
