About this listen

Elite hunter Zee is scarred from his time in the Hive war, leaving him too much of a monster to seduce a beautiful, innocent virgin. Even if his Mark calls to hers, connecting them body and soul, he knows that after just one look at him she will never surrender the three sacred virginities. Never accept him as a mate.

Blindfolded and seduced, Helen has never seen the hunter whose voice makes her tremble. She knows something isn’t right, but she can’t say no to the mysterious and demanding hunter whose kiss makes her burn and whose touch makes her beg in the darkness of night.

Zee has everything he thinks he needs, until another takes advantage of his new mate’s innocence...and tries to claim Zee’s interstellar bride for his own.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this short story. It was sweet and sexy. Certain parts were less interesting but had more to do with my personal preferences. Loved the ending.

Story short for a full credit. Needs male and female narration. Just male narrator looses effect of the bride

I have enjoyed the whole interstellar series but this story was short and lacked the “meat” of the others. Also in the other series there was both male and female narration which was much better to draw reader/listeners into the story/characters.

Enjoyable story

I enjoyed this one. We get to see Helen and Zee find their way together. They have connected at the touchstone and their marks have awakened. Dream sharing has started but Zee is hiding his face from his mate and has her wearing a blindfold. He is seducing his mate and wants her but he is worried that the scarring on his face will scare her away so wants to win her over prior to letting her see, hoping that she will be in love with him at that point and not scared away. Helen loves her connection with Zee but doesn't know why he won't share his name and face with her, knowing that there has to be something to it and can feel a weight on him but is all in with him. I enjoyed this one and the way that she gets around the situation and doesn't care about his scars. It doesn't scare her away, she cares about what is on the inside and knows what those scars stand for.
The narrator did an okay job with this one, better for the male than female voice.

Only 1 male narrator is not pleasant

I have listened to many of the Insterstellar Bride books, & this one, having only 1 narrator, a male, is off-putting for the female characters. The female characters come off sounding weird & not pleasant. I love all of the Interstellar Bride books regardless of the series, & they all flow & interact with each other. So just as an FYI: The best way to listen to all the Interstellar books (bride, cyborg, beast, virgin) is to listen to them in order of release date & book #. Do not listen to them separately solely based on the individual series because all of the series' books interact with the characters & timelines from the other books in all the different Interstellar Bride series.

Could’ve have been longer

Could have been longer and should have been. Helen and Zee were so interesting that surely the book could’ve been filled out more. Would like to have had more time with them. They deserved a longer story and the book is certainly too short for the price.

Mystery master and mate

Review of audiobook borrowed through Audible Plus.
Helen of Earth is a marked mate whose first two virginities are being claimed by a master/mate who is keeping her blindfolded. But when it comes to the final virginity, Master Zee is convinced Helen will reject him due to his extensive scarring.
Macrae fit this story better than most of the others as there is less female dialogue, and more male and narrative.

Raw Vulnerability, Tender Intimacy

Loved the story development, the introduction of other characters and the slow burn tempo of the build up. Well played Mr. MaCrae.

Short.

Thank goodness it was short. No story, a whispering narrator, no spark between H & h. Boring, not for me.

Meh

Jumped right into the sexy times and there was no look into their personalities. It felt formulaic.
I actually like sci fi and feel that this author usually does that. Ah well, no one can be perfect, right.

Maybe the character development was done in other books in her various book series?

Either way, I’m still going to look forward to her next one.
