This was my first Amira Rain's book. It's a paranormal menage romance, with an unexpected ending. I had trouble to get into this story. The chemistry between Ellie, Eric and Ryan was strong and steamy. The second part was fast-paced and filled with action and I loved it. The narration was great and easy to listen. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

I really liked that the narrator was easy to listen to but the story left a little hollow, like things were missing. It was also a little predictable in the way that I know it was going to end with Ellie making a choice, but it would have been better if the ‘more chemistry’ and ‘coldness’ between Ellie, Eric, and Ryan was felt rather than told.

Great paranormal romance with just the right amount of spice. I love the apocalyptic twist on this story and although there is a happily ever after, it is definitely not the normal for a ménage romance. I found that the story flowed really well, with no repetition. Amira Rain is an author I will look forward to following in the future. Meghan Kelly has an outstanding performance which gives a great voice to each character.

A lot of story is packed into this short audiobook. There’s an apocalypse, male shifters emerging as an aftermath, weak and strong factions, sacrifice, jealousy, betrayal, and of course, hot sex and more sex. Amira Rain wrote a solid and cohesive story that could easily have been expanded into a series.

Meghan Kelly did her awesome finest with distinct and recognizable voices.

Great combination of post-apocalyptic and shifter romance, loved the story and the characters. Fantastic performance from the narrator, she had unique voices for each character and really brought the story to life. I have to be honest, when I first started listening to this, I had trouble getting into it. But after I listened to it for it a while I fell in love with it. Meghan Kelly is once again phenomenal. She has a way of narrating books to make you feel as if you are right there in the story the whole time.

I was gifted this audible book by the narrator Meghan Kelly, thank you. Meghan did a fantastic job with the narration of this story.

Story - what would you do if you lived in a community of older or very young people and they are starving, can not defend themselves plus there is an alien invasion going on. You are one of a hand full of eligible younger aged women get offered food, clothing and protection for one single thing in return. You must Mate with the Alpha of a wolf shifters pack.
Eric the alpha of the pack has specifically requested Ellie Miller, who is human and a vital member of this community. How can she turn him down knowing that others lives depend on her decision. She goes, but finds she has been deceived because it is not one alpha but two who she is to mate, but hey I have told you enough, no more spoilers. Except to say this does have ménage scenes, has a storyline and a plot sit back with your favorite drink and enjoy.

Well the narrator has a wonderful voice. I liked the way she read and the inflection in her voice. I was not as impressed with the story. It’s a great concept but I feel like the author could have had a great full length novel if done properly. The author immerses you into a story that takes a little bit from everywhere and twists it into one great concept. At its core, this is a story about hero’s love, betrayal, lose but above all, hope through all the encroaching danger - sometimes coming from unexpected places.

This was my first Amira Rain's book, a paranormal menage romance with a unexpected ending. The fact remains, that although the concept is a very good one, there could have a lot more with out the rushing and crunching. So because of these things I felt that there could have been a lot more depth brought to the story. It felt kind of rushed or here the action and the ending in one fell swoop, almost literally like wham, bam, thank you ma’am. It made me feel kind of cheated at the end of the story.

In reading this story you will find yourself in a world that is life threatening, vastly different from what once was “normal” before the invasion. And although this new world can be threatening at times, the author show the resiliency and forditude of the people who are dealing with a whole new concept of normalcy but can it is also a world where the people can find and hold onto love, life and family. All of which provides hope to everyone along side the danger and new way of life.

The characters were easy to get attached to, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the story unfold I just wish there was a more developed story, especially towards the end. It had/had great potential to become an amazing story or series. This book has definitely peaked my interest in this author. And although I have some reservations about this particular book, I am currently looking into reading some of her other works.

Overall not a bad story but there was definitely room for some improvement and/or growth.
