About this listen

Even if the world did end, five men is far too many to handle. Isn’t it?

Since the Final War, I’ve been doing just fine. I have a lovely cave, a darling vegetable patch, forest views...and if loneliness sometimes squeezes my aching heart, well, my books have always kept me company.

That is, until a pack of hunters chase me from my home and right into the arms of several rather large, rather brutish ex-Army Rangers. And those brutes have the nerve to make me the rudest offer I’ve ever heard.

Their protection—for my body.

The whole thing is absurd. Scandalous. Perverted, even. I mean, just the thought of doing that with five men, well, it’s...it’s....

I take the deal.

Okay, so it’s possible I find them indecently tempting. But these men also have secrets, and pasts so fraught with emotion, I’m not sure I can untangle them all. Or whether they’ll let me.

No, my brutes have made it excruciatingly clear where they think I belong—beneath them, between them, bent over backwards for them...but certainly not beside them.

And I don’t think that’s going to work for me.

The Brutes of Bristlebrook is a dark(ish) post-apocalyptic, steamy reverse harem romance series, meaning Eden will end up with three or more love interests, after I’ve appropriately obliterated my listeners’ nerves.

Expect complex characters, first person present tense, multiple POVs, MM in the harem, angst, lots of laughs, and to encounter material that some listeners may find sensitive—a full description of which can be found on my author website.

Oh MAU GAH - A MUST LISTEN

Audio Book Review:
Title: "Brutes of Bristlebrook Book 1" by Rebecca Quinn
Narration: Multi-Cast Duet
Narrators:
• Avery Caris as Eden
• Sebastian York as Dominick (Dom)
• Joe Arden as Beau
• Teddy Hamilton as Jasper
• JF Harding as Lucky
• Jason Clarke as Jacob
Venturing into uncharted territory with author Rebecca Quinn, "Brutes of Bristlebrook Book 1" emerges as a sizzling revelation in the realm of post-apocalyptic romance. This audio experience, featuring a dynamic multi-cast duet, adds an extra layer of intensity to an already explosive narrative.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the story unfolds in a landscape where one woman finds herself entangled with five males, negotiating safety in exchange for a complex intimacy pact. The audacious combination of tropes, including dystopian romance, diverse love interests, bisexuality representation, BDSM dynamics, and tattooed ex-military heroes, forms the foundation of this scorching tale.
The story plunges headfirst into action, introducing Eden as she flees a relentless group of pursuers with nefarious intentions. Survival becomes a precarious game until she crosses paths with three compelling heroes. Their proposition: protection from imminent danger in exchange for her surrender to all five of them. Caught between difficult choices, Eden reluctantly agrees, setting the stage for a narrative that is as riveting as it is provocative.
Beyond the steamy encounters promised by the initial premise, the narrative delves into the complexities of the characters. The ex-Rangers, who shared a pre-apocalyptic connection in a kink club, bring a unique and captivating dynamic. The distinct personalities of Dominick, the gruff leader; Beau, the Dr , the Southern gentleman with a soft dom demeanor; Jasper, the conflicted sadist; Lucien (Lucky), the soft heart Dom who can switch to submissive with hidden depths; and Jacob the seemingly emotionless loner, create a tapestry of tension and intrigue.
What stands out is the unexpected depth of emotion and plot that surpasses the anticipated spicy elements. The characters, initially appearing as stereotypes, evolve into multifaceted individuals with intricate relationships. Eden's journey from timidity to assertiveness adds a layer of empowerment to the narrative, reinforcing her status as a heroine worthy of admiration.
Rebecca Quinn's storytelling prowess shines through, revealing characters with more depth than meets the eye. The audiobook expertly balances the spicy moments with drawn-out tension and foreplay scenes, ensuring a gripping and immersive experience. "Brutes of Bristlebrook Book 1" transcends expectations, delivering not only on passion but also on the rich emotional and narrative dimensions that make it a standout in the genre.

Narrator Gods 🧎‍♀️

This was a reread for me but as soon as the Audiobook dropped I KNEW I NEEDED IT.

I loved this book the first go round, but putting voices to all the amazing people really brought Bristlebrook to life!

Did I mention it's narrated by

Eden - AVERY CARIS
Jasper - TEDDY HAMILTON
Lucky - JF HARDING
Jaykob - JASON CLARKE
Dom - SEBASTIAN YORK
Beau - JOE-freaking-ARDEN

Compelling story, phenomenal narrators

I read this book in July and it’s one of my absolute favorites.
Ensnared is a why choose post apocalyptic romance
- why choose (5 military men)
-found family
-BD$M/praise/kink
-protective, possessive
-action

So naturally, when the audiobook option came I needed to listen asap. ESPECIALLY because this cast is literally a dream. Avery, Joe, Teddy, Jason, Sebastian & JF were absolutely incredible at narrating their characters. This is the FIRST TIME I’ve listened to a book, and because of this outstanding performance, it will not be my last. The emotion that poured into my ears as the story went on blew me away.

I’m addicted in the best way possible.

The spice in this book paired with each narrator was almost too hot to handle 😅😅 I ate it up and never wanted it to end.

Post-Apocalyptic Why Choose Romance

Ensnared by Rebecca Quinn is a post-apocalyptic why choose romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Avery Caris, Joe Arden, Sebastian York, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, and JF Harding. This is the first book in the Brutes of Bristlebrook series.

This is the first book of Rebecca's that I have read, and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am really enjoying the chemistry between Eden, Dominic, Jasper, Lucien, Beaumont, and Jaykob. I can't wait to see how their relationship will grow over the course of the series. I liked getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series Entangled to be released on January 3, 2024.

Avery, Joe, Sebastian, Jason, Teddy, and J.F. did an amazing job on the narration. They really brought the story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you're looking for a post-apocalyptic romance, why choose romance, found family romance, military men romance, or enemies to lover's romance.

Everything was amazing

Everything about this audio book was amazing! The back and forth performance was one of the best I have listened to and the story line was great! I can wait for the second book so I’m really hoping the audible book will be sooner rather than later.

I HATE cliffhangers when the next book is not readily available😡

I absolutely love this book. It was pure perfection. The narration aspect was on a level I have never experienced before PERFECTION!!! This was an all-star cast of audiobook narrators, and it was the only thing that softened the blow of the cliffhanger that the story ended on.

Do not hesitate to grab this book. It was pure magic however, please go into it, knowing that there is a massive cliffhanger and you’re not able to satisfy your desire to know what happens because the next book is not available on audiobook yet. If that something that doesn’t bother you then do not hesitate to use the credit. I promise you it’s worth it.

Duet style AND 6 narrators? Yes!

You can count me in for a post-apocalyptic setting reverse harem! The story in terms of world building, character development and plot is great. I loved that there were 5 male narrators for the MMCs and 1 female narrator for the FMC and this was done duet style. It made it much easier to follow along! I downloaded the ebook to read now. Usually I read the book then listen to it, but I needed something captivating for my work commutes.

The characters are amazing!!

I did not know what to expect with this book when i started reading it. But now I have 13 minutes left of it and I'm dying, I love all the characters and don't want anyone to get hurt...I'm nervous for how this book will end, thankfully I have book two downloaded and ready!!! The love all these characters have for each other and the brotherhood...it breaks my heart...I'm crying...maybe I'm just emotional...but it's beautiful.

These narrators are pure gold for this book. It is amazing. The talent of them all. I can't say enough about it. I felt I was in the woods with them during the battle.

Jasper and Lucky are soooooooo beautiful!!

Survival Tip #111

“Trust your doctor. They know what’s best for your body!”

I love Joe Arden and his arsenal of voices but his performance as Beaumont 😮‍💨😅😊 Oh my goodness… I’m done!!

That said, this why choose romance is currently my fave read of the year!! I’m desperate for book 2!!

*Post Apocalyptic/dystopian
*Divorced heroine
*5 ex-military heroes
*bdsm (love the way the writer introduced the lifestyle)
*forced proximity
*grumpy-sunshine
*tattooed brutes

Love how the book dove right into the action. Went in thinking it was going to be a deliciously spicy good time, which it was but there was also more to the relationship dynamic of each character.

I’m speechless that this is the debut novel for Rebecca Quinn!! Her writing style has me hooked from the very beginning!! I’m excited to read what’s next from her!!
