About this listen

Even if the world did end, five men is far too many to handle. Isn’t it?

Since the Final War, I’ve been doing just fine. I have a lovely cave, a darling vegetable patch, forest views . . . and if loneliness sometimes squeezes my aching heart, well, my books have always kept me company.

That is, until a pack of hunters chase me from my home and right into the arms of several rather large, rather brutish ex-Army Rangers. And those brutes have the nerve to make me the rudest offer I’ve ever heard.

Their protection—for my body.

The whole thing is absurd. Scandalous. Perverted, even. I mean, just the thought of doing that with five men, well, it’s . . . it’s . . .

I take the deal.

Okay, so it’s possible I find them indecently tempting. But these men also have secrets, and pasts so fraught with emotion, I’m not sure I can untangle them all. Or whether they’ll let me.

No, my brutes have made it excruciatingly clear where they think I belong—beneath them, between them, bent over backwards for them . . . but certainly not beside them.

And I don’t think that’s going to work for me.

***

The Brutes of Bristlebrook is a dark(ish) post-apocalyptic, steamy reverse harem romance series, meaning Eden will end up with three or more love interests after I’ve appropriately obliterated my readers’ nerves.

Expect complex characters, 1st person present tense, multiple POVs, MM in the harem, angst, lots of laughs, and to encounter material that some readers may find sensitive—a full description of which can be found on my author website.

Phenomenal cast and a great book

This book had it all, for me and I did not want to put it down. When I finished I immediately wanted to listen all over again. Rebecca Quinn wrote a great book and the way the narrators brought the characters to life was nothing short of amazing. Avery, Sebastian, Joe, Teddy, J.F. and Jason were perfectly cast. I fell in love with them all. Shout out to Ron for the engineering. The way he brought my favorite voices together was brilliant. Blue Nose Audio pulled so much talent together to create such beautiful magic for this book.

Incredible story, perfect performances

What can I say about this incredible story, narrated by an epic cast? If you’re a fan of post-apocalyptic settings (think The Walking Dead or The Last of Us, minus the zombies), “why choose” romances, and storylines that have you laughing, crying, gasping out loud, and more… well, good news because the Brutes of Bristlebrook series is for you. Book 1, Ensnared, not only sets the stage, it truly lays the foundation for emotional and complicated relationships. I found myself desperate for more of everyone’s background, their personal and intertwined stories, and yet it was the perfect balance throughout.

The narrators were beyond perfect for their characters; each of them nails the emotions so well, you will FEEL this story in your SOUL. Avery Caris is dynamite as Eden. A woman who - despite being a rarity in this new world - still battles with relatable feelings of insecurity, and torn between needing/wanting these men in her life while also struggling to remain independent and badass. My heart was in my throat as I listened to Lucky (JF Harding) grapple with his feelings for Jasper (Teddy Hamilton), and Jasper denying himself that which he truly wants. Chapter 14 featuring these two had me in tears, while I was walking my dogs! Dom (Sebastian York) and Beau (Joe Arden) present a similarly tangled yet totally unique relationship - they need and want each other, just as much as they need and want Eden. And Jaykob (Jason Clarke), my stubborn, angry little loner… we’ve only scratched the surface with you.

The audiobook is truly in another league. The narrators for this story were cast so perfectly, each sending me through a roller coaster of emotions. Each performance was so expertly done - the banter was A+, and the spice was… well it was HOT. Next level HOT. Like, I accidentally found myself listening to Chapter 29 while getting a pedicure and the nail tech kept asking if I was ok. The kind of hot that had my face flaming and my insides squirming. AH!!!! I just loved everything about this story and the performances so much. I cannot WAIT for the next book. Rebecca - you have created an incredible, sexy, intimidating new world for me to get lost in. THANK YOU!

Wow! Wow! Wow! 🤭😍🥰♥️🥵

My new favorite book. All these narrators I listen to religiously and for them to all be in one book yes please. I still can’t get Boe’s accent and voice out of my head. Please tell me the next one is coming out soon.

When the World Ends, Make Sure You’re Stocked Up On Men 😍

Move over canned food and survival gear, in “Ensnared” by Rebecca Quinn, the post-apocalyptic essential is five army Rangers who want to share you. Our leading lady Eden isn’t your typical apocalypse survivor; she’s part MacGyver, part, Jane Austin, heroin, and 100% not ready for her harem of Army Rangers.

Enter the hunky Army Rangers - Dom, Beau, Lucky, Jasper, and Jaykob. If the apocalypse has men like these, sign me up for the end of the world! Dom's the grumpy leader, who needs a good book on feelings. Beau, the teddy bear, cuddles as well as he kills. Lucky, the group's comic relief, could lighten up a black hole. Jasper, a Korean / American psychologist struggles with misplaced guilt. And Jaykob is like a walking 'Beware of Dog' sign, until you crack his shell.

Eden's journey with these five men is hotter than the post-apocalyptic sun. They underestimated her, but she's no damsel in distress – she's a librarian who’s been living on her own since Death Day 4 years ago. However, when she’s found and chased by a violent gang of survivors, she is rescued by the Army Rangers in exchange for being a shared sub to all of them.

"Ensnared" is a tantalizing mix of steam, survival, and sass. It's like 'The Bachelorette' met 'Pride and Prejudice', then decided to throw a kinky party. Can't wait to see how Eden wraps these guys around her little finger in the January, 2024 sequel, “Entangled'.

If you like your romance with a side of apocalypse and a dash of innocent librarian, this is your jam!

I listened to Ensnared by Rebecca Quinn on Audible in December. 2023. The voice actors were phenomenal!

O.M.G!!

I can not say enough about this story and this author! I've never read her before but WOW! I have to look for more and I CAN NOT wait for the rest of this series. The story is phenomenal and the narrators were....well, what can you say with a cast like that!! Every one of them were my favorites!! The only one missing was Troy Duran (hint, hint, wink, wink)! This is definitely worth the credit and then some! You do NOT want to pass this one up. It has ALL the feels and the characters are so well written.....and let's not forget the 🌶🌶🌶🌶 factor! 🥵 Go ahead, spend that credit. You won’t regret it!

This is going to be a great series!

1st book in the series of Bristlewood Brutes and what sexy men they are and not brutish. This is a fun read, engrossing with its story of these 5 individual men. and the main female character. what sexual adventures she has! And the other kind of daring adventures. a lot going on in this book. I highly recommend.
The narration was superb and really made the story! Fun to have so many favorite male narrators reading, well, really acting in duet with each other. I love duet narration!! it makes the story that much more intense.

Great storytelling

Characters are complicated, it’s not just a bunch of random sex- it’s just the right amount of steam and tension and the post apocalyptic part is totally believable. Bring on Jan 4th for the next book!!’
