Publisher's summary

One part Bukowski, one part Jordan Peterson, one part Neil Strauss.

Lessons from 15 sexual encounters for a sailor who learned pickup in order to date, and ended up finding so much more! This is a self-help book like you've never experienced. Rian doesn't hold back and talks about subjects you'd never see discussed in polite society, yet they are things that everyone deals with in their own lives.

It's Bukowski without the self destruction.

It's Jordan Peterson without the naivety.

It's Neil Strauss without being a big nerd about it.

It's everything you wish your father taught you about women but couldn't because of the divorce.

It's everything women have been curious about when it comes to men and sex. It's raw; it's crude; it's unfiltered.

And it worked.

Tales from chasing tail in the Royal Canadian Navy

It's like that cool uncle telling you sordid tales from the days in the Service, and the applicable lessons for relationships (or the avoidance thereof).

A Nostos for the modern man

This book is as entertaining as it sounds and that side of the story alone would be worth the listen.
Make no mistake though : the lessons contained here are the most important a man could learn not the least because they have been ignored by our parents and gradually banned from the popular culture.
The author boasts or a large data sample in his study but knows to filter for ego to provide genuine insights when possible and to admit when he can't.

Not what I anticipated.

Not what I anticipated, in a good way. That said a lot of golden rules that requires the reading of the text and re listening to the audiobook to have the information engrained as fully as possible. Keep writing Rian.

Must read for men who are single and. Dating.

Fun book and very informative. Similar to a modern version (but lighter) than The Game by Neil Straus. Rian Stone also has a YouTube channel you must watch and his involvement in the Rule Zero episodes are great.

Great book

This book summarized a lot of different inter gender dynamic points. Some points will hit you hard because they are personal to your own life. This book will help any man out there interested in learning more about how the opposite sex operates.

40+ Lessons

Worth it. The book says 15 lessons, but it's really 40+ lessons broken down into snippets of storytelling intertwined with a lesson. The lessons are not good or bad, it just is. You'll learn that screwing up is the spice of life.
*You'll learn about mental models, learning what kind of frame of mind is healthy vs okay vs destructive.
*You'll learn about how girls think and their mental models. From what I can gather, for girls, reputation and ego is EVERYTHING.
*You'll learn about how healthy relationships can be built.
*You'll learn that life is a big experiment, so it's best to accept the good/bad ones and move on to make the best of it however you see fit.

It's a humbling book. Short enough stories to play it back over more than once without it being a drag to re-listen. Worth the listen. I'd advise you to look at the title of each little chapter/section to grasp the message that is being given.

14/15 for me. Minor error/*trainwek* and storytelling that would seem to bounce around a bit, but overall a lot of golden nuggets to take into account. It is a very original book.

One of the best books to come from the manosphere

I have been active in The Red Pill for about 3 or 4 years now and I have read a ton of books about pickup, relationships, self improvement, etc. This book is one of my new favorites right up there with The Rational Male. F--cfiles has the same lessons expected from any book on the subject, but the content is delivered in stories that are enjoyable to listen to. I knew this before I started the book and I was thinking, "here we go, I don't want to listen to a bunch of brag stories about random thots he had" but it wasn't like that at all!

If you are a guys just starting to learn this stuff, read The Rational Male first and this book second. The stories in this book will show you how to actually implement the things taught in the manosphere in a natural way. Learn from Rian's successes and failures. If nothing else this book was enjoyable to read. I will be reading it again very soon.

I do want to mention there are a handful of technical errors in this audiobook. A few spots where a word gets cut off or something similar, but they are minor and may be fixed by the time anyone reads this review.

Great book

The stories are great but I feel like he spends a lot of time on trivial talk otherwise this is a great book that can teach any man some life lessons
