Okay start to series

What did you like best about Full Moon Mating? What did you like least?

The concept of loyalty between partners. The narration.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Changed narrators to pick up the pace and breathe some life into the narration.

How could the performance have been better?

The delivery was very monotone. At times, the narrators voice dropped low ( I believe they were shooting for sexy), during those instances the words were barely decipherable. It was almost as if he were lying down in bed reading. I think a different author OR possible more coaching for the current author would help.

Do you think Full Moon Mating needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I'ver read the entire series. I prefer audible versions to bring the stories to life.

Any additional comments?

I would enjoy the audible narrations for the rest of the series. This genre does not have the best track record as far as audio.I think it is tough to find quality narrators for reasonable rates, so that the pay off is worth it. I'm still a fan of Stormy's. She's a talented author.

Sexy Cop Shifter meets magical young stranger

What made the experience of listening to Full Moon Mating the most enjoyable?

Caught up in the middle of an armed robbery is not where you want to be if you are hiding from an evil man out to dominate or destroy you. But that is just where Nate Summers finds himself. This story intertwined the lives of Sheriff Joe Nash and his prime suspect, Nate, into a blazing love story packed with evil twists, as Nate runs from the man known only as the Teacher, jealousy and a helpful pack family.

What other book might you compare Full Moon Mating to and why?

Chasing Seth by J. R. Loveless. It is another shifter love story with a strong Alpha wolf and
another fleeing from a tortured past.

Have you listened to any of Rex J. Silverton’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to his narration before. This was a first for me and I have to be honest and say he was okay most of the time. Took me time to get used to his voice and then he did fine.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When they meet the teacher in the circle. This changed what I thought was going to happen, a real twist.

Any additional comments?

Over all this is a great book and a wonderful listen. I had read the book previously so I knew the characters. All in all I would recommend it to any M/M/Shifter fans out there.

Very good read

I like most of Stormy Glenn's books and this one was very good. I prefer her newer ones, but this is a great start to a series. The characters are mostly likable and it is well-written. There was plenty of story to it and the relationship was believable (in a paranormal setting). The plot was creative and well-executed.

I really liked Nate's voice, but I thought Joe's was too husky. However, that is personal preference and at least I could tell them apart. There was nothing really distracting about the performance and I could easily get into it. I noticed a few mistakes like a couple of repeated sentences, but again, it was not terribly distracting. Overall, I thought Rex J. Silverton did a good job.

I received this audiobook at no cost in exchange for an honest review.

Shifter and the Out-of-Town Mate

This story started with Joe, a cop in the small town of Wolf Creek, responding to a robbery and encountering an out-of-town guy, Nate. Joe felt an immediate pull to this guy and it wasn’t even the full moon. The new guy, Nate, was skittish and seemed uncomfortable talking.
Eventually, Nate trusted Joe and revealed he was hiding out from someone pursuing him. Joe returned this trust by revealing that he was a shifter, a werewolf, and that he believed Nate was his mate. It seemed that the two lovers would be okay until their relationship was threatened both by an inside threat and an outside threat. These threats force Joe to make decisions as the enforcer of his clan as opposed to Nate’s mate.

I have to say that the narrator wasn’t good. He made Nate feel adolescent and it made it weird to hear the sex scenes. I think the writing contributed to that because sometimes Nate acted like a kid and so Joe treated him like such. He didn’t discuss things he should with a partner, but instead, Joe made decisions for Nate.

I liked the relationship Joe had with his family and how accepting and protective his parents were of Nate. That added to the sweetness of this story. It’s a book one, so I hope the author will spend more time developing both her characters and the overall plot of the story. There is potential here and I hope the next book takes the series to the next level.

Full Moon Mating

What did you like best about Full Moon Mating? What did you like least?

Sheriff Joe Nash meets his mate when he least expects it. Joe is called out to shooting and shows up to find a (handsome) man leaning over the victim. He is not sure if this person had saved the victim or is involved with the shooting. The person in question doesn't talk to Joe and fights him when is brought in.

Nice Story/Narration👎

I liked the story, but the narration was very vapid. This might not be the case, but, I think the narrator wasn't into it. The voices he used for each character didn't fit, they sounded the same + were very dry. The way he called (meaning the narrator)one of the main characters BABY, was so annoying to listen to. I'm sure he's a wonderful narrator, but in this story, he didn't bring the characters to life, even if you were able to distinguish which character was which. I liked the story, just not the narration.😕

Entertaining But Very Predictable

I really enjoyed the story but it was very predictable and to be honest the scene between good versus evil was very anti-climatic I was left feeling disappointed and would have appreciated a little more angst between characters ( everything felt too easy for everyone) but it was good overall. I will be checking out this author's other stories.
I couldn't help but giggle at the narrator
