About this listen

Cheyenne Grear was looking forward to college. High school boys were lame and immature. College would provide a smorgasbord of sexy educated men who would be dying to vie for her attention. At least, that's what she hoped. What actually happened was far from her imagined reality.

She never expected to fall for someone much older and totally inaccessible.

Damien Reed is confident, sexy, and everything a man should be. The only problem is, he doesn't even seem to know that Cheyenne exists.

When a stunt in thievery changes everything, Cheyenne is thrust into a life of sexual bliss and emotional anguish. Torn between the two, she must decide if pursuing Damien will lead to happiness or destruction.

Content Warning: This story contains lots of steamy bits too explicit for this blurb. For listeners 18+ only!

Themes in this audiobook: college, new adult, erotica, erotic romance, love triangles, and multiple partners.

This is the His Indecent Lessons complete collection/box set, featuring parts 1-4, originally sold separately.

Super hot

I’m only giving this 4 instead of 5 because I felt it should be longer, it kinda ended unresolved. However, it was a very exciting erotic story of new awakenings. I love her writing. Great narration by Ms Solesski.

BDSM/Teacher-Student/age gap

Needed male POV, especially as Damien’s feelings toward Cheyenne are portrayed as aloof and ambivalent. Needed more of a backstory for both characters: for Cheyenne, to explain her readiness for a mature relationship - make it seem more understandable; for Damien, to detail his entrance into the lifestyle.
Overall, though, fun and an intriguing setup for the sequel.

Don't like the characters

The H is cold and for a dom, he gets off then leaves. There's no aftercare or and show that he's more than a machine. The h starts a virgin and uses a boy who is in love with her to lose her V card so she can continue her "relationship" with the H. it's all so pointless.

feelings

I think that for him being her teacher of BDSM that too many feelings got involved in such a short time. There was no aftercare and we really didn't start to get into the BDSM until the end so I feel the book got cut off half way through. The two major characters have completely different lives from each other. Last I knew that isn't how you did any relationship.

The first book I almost didn't finish

**this review contains spoilers**

The narrator did a pretty good job, I felt like the male voices all kinda sounded similar so if I zoned out I wouldn't know who was talking. I had originally bumped the overall star rating to two but the book itself was so bad that I had to take it away. The narrator was the only redeeming thing of this book.

The story and the writing though.... left oh so much to be desired.... this felt like it was a "50 shades of a Disney princess" fanfic. The tone and language the author used for the character made it feel like we're reading a very graphic/detailed diary entry of a younger teenager that used urban dictionary as a thesaurus. The main guy she's after is a total predator and the main character gives off so much fvckboi energy. I get that she's got some freedom-energy as she's not really living at home anymore. Yes technically she lives with her dad but he's too busy working that she essentially lives by herself, to the point in the entire book there isn't a single conversation with him just a few remarks to remind you that he's a trucker and she lives with him, that's it. There is absolutely zero character depth to our leading lady, who I kept calling in my head Chad-ette. All she is a sex crazed teenager, she doesn't have any morals or self value. She also jokes about/makes light of gr@pe. Her mother comes off as being overly relationship positive and almost sex positive so why she is so horny without having any toys or anything is beyond me. I get that these are her first experiences but the fact she keeps calling the guys "stud" every time she wanted to bang was super cringing. this girl knows absolutely nothing about this man and if I'm counting right, she's "known" him for a grand total of 7 weeks before confessing she's madly in love with him, only really interacting with him on the weekend with each meet up being an hour or two max which comes out to approximately 7 whole hours of actual interaction. That is some Disney princess level shenanigans right there. As bad as that is, the worst part for me was the teacher.... after he almost sexually assaulted her he's all I want to go slow but then doesn't actually give her any information about anything.... just dance for me monkey dance. That first meet up could have built so much more tension if she didn't get naked right off the bat.... I get he's trying to see where she's at and how she thinks and where he can help improve but the fact that they didn't really discuss anything?! I get that this book is a work of fiction or at least it really ought to be because the BIGGEST thing in the BDSM lifestyle is communication, communication, communication. Did I mention communication???? He doesn't give her any information at all. He is one of the worst doms I've ever read about. He doesn't deserve the capital D that should be used when discussing Doms. He easily could have given her homework of "here is a list of 30 kinks pick 3 to read about this week and tell me what you liked and didn't about each" then they could incorporate one into a scene. They have focused so heavily on sex there is absolutely no way there should be any trust between them either. He also should have given her a freaking safe word. When he finally does actually talk to her and they're actually discussing kink, I don't remember it word for word but he gives the impression that it's all or nothing and that's just how kink is, that is complete and udder bs. He doesn't respect her or her boundaries and although she's a tool I.. just ugh this book just pissed me off....
