About this listen

He was my dad's best friend - and my first crush.

Falling for him was bad. Flirting with him and trying to get in his pants the night of my 21st birthday party was definitely worse.

But can you blame me? I hadn't seen the guy in years and he comes back looking hotter than ever.

Our fling shouldn't have even begun but now that it has, I don't want it to stop. I'm crazy for this guy - and he's obsessed with me.

Too bad my father will kill him if he finds out.

So we can't tell him. We just have to keep it secret. Right?

That might have worked...until he got me pregnant.

How can we keep what we've done a secret?

And what if he doesn't want us to?

This is a standalone novella with a HEA!

Penny Wylder writes just that - wild romances. Happily Ever Afters are always better when they're a little dirty, so if you're looking for a romance that will make you feel naughty in all the right places, jump right in and leave your panties at the door!

Her Dad’s Friend

I was hoping for something very different than what transpired in this book/🎧it was a slow burn that had its moments just not enough of them to make it enjoyable. I don’t mind age gap, alpha males, with an out of control libido it was all the other fluff in between that just made it okay for my liking. Is it worth the credit? Maybe 🤔 the one nice thing it ends with a HEA.

Good break book

Great story. I truly enjoyed it. Would have liked one more chapter for the birth but it was still good

Good quick story, poor narration

I loved the story. It was quick and steamy. Plot was slightly unbelievable but oh well. I like the male narrator, but the female narrator wasn’t for me. It felt like she was reading a kids story and had so much inflection. It seemed weird and unfitting. Overall this was an okay read but I wouldn’t read again.

Paul and Rachel

*****SPOILER ALERT*****

Her Dad's Friend by Penny Wylder. Standalone. Dual POV. Dual narration. It's listed as 2 hours 57 minutes; I listened at speed 2.50 for 1 hour 10 minutes. Narrators Lillian Claire (ch. 1–7) and Blake Richard (ch. 8) both read well. Content warnings: HOT sex scenes [@n@l l¡ck¡ng, f¡nger¡ng, and penetrat¡on; handcuffs; DP (man and toy)].

Rachael is a 20 year old college student finishing up her final semester. Her family threw her a surprise party for her 21st birthday. Paul is her dad's best friend and has been since they were in school. Paul sold his business and moved away two years ago without saying goodbye. Rachael had fallen for him a long time ago but felt he didn't return her feelings. Everything changes on her birthday. They find their HEA, she's pregnant, and they're engaged.

I enjoyed this couple's story. I was lucky enough to grab it when it was free, but I definitely recommend it as a 1-click, and it's currently available through KU. JP

3.5 on my spice scale.

Age-gap romance

This was a good age-gap book. Daughter had been crazy about her father's best friend for years. He left town a few years ago but returned for her 21st birthday party where they end up getting together. She sent him a provocative text when she had too much to drink. Her best friend pushed the send button. He drives her from her parent's house to her apartment after her party. Lillian Claire and Blake Richard did a very good job with the narration, although Blake had a very small part at the end.

Love age-gap but...

I couldn’t get past the narrator. She was fine for the female characters... but every time she read Paul’s part, it felt like it was a grandmother’s part, not a silver fox. The story is OK but it was too short and everything was too rushed. Disappointed.

Short But Good Story

Pretty good short story. Glad they didn’t drag it out. The plot was good and could have had a bit more to make the main characters deeper but I still liked it.

Hmm...not bad...BUT...

Is it just me, or was the ending with the male POV made slightly creepy by the raspy whispering voice? It's like he is doing a voice, rather than using his voice...like Batman...
